I am -Yoinking!- livid. The lag in my games are so bad that I can’t even play because my KD is going to get ruined. I’m an extremely competitive swat player and any lag is -Yoinking!- life or death within that game type. Everyone is constantly rubber banding. Half the time it seems like I’m getting killed with a -Yoinking!- full auto pistol because the lag is that bad. No it’s not my connection. I have a great connection and weeks of playing Halo 4 up to this were flawless. A ton of people are saying they don’t even have lag.
I was also experiencing mad lag last night, if I sprinted for too long or used the jet pack in a battle I would be constantly bouncing around. It didn’t happen every match but the ones it did my k/d really suffered.

It’s like I’m the only one lagging in the match. When I got back and watch the match in theater there’s NO LAG. I bought this xbox one off of ebay that was supposed to have been only slightly used and there’s no reason for me to believe something is wrong with it on the wireless connection side but at this point I don’t know. If it’s the xbox I’m going to be pissed. I don’t have another multiplayer game to even test it. All my network settings are fine. Nat is open. 84% connection. No packet loss. Ugh.
This isn’t really a great answer, but it could have a lot to do with it being launch day. The servers are getting swarmed by players, and people are downloading the game.
I would assume they run those two services on different servers, but who knows.
Mine is doing same. Even worse at some points where I just run around and watch everyone running into walls till it boots me and says unable to join. Don’t think got one good match yet.
Also side question but when I try join a match it doesn’t show anyone in my team. I see all the player cards on left side screen but my fire team is always 1/8 or 1/12 can’t click and tell whose in my group or see their info
If you’re currently wireless, try running a few games wired and see if it makes any difference to the connection.
Im wired and don’t have this problem with other games.
I have also experienced terrible lag. It is launch day so I’m not too mad. But if it continues I don’t expect this game to last long considering its supposed to competitive.
