I think I have finally given up on this game. The lag is so bad now I can’t play a single game without ridiculous lag related stuff happening. What I see on my screen is not what is happening in the game. I love Halo but I have finally had enough.
I left because this game sucked but good point. That’s not helping either
Sounds like a personal problem. I haven’t noticed a change in connection quality. Even in Spartan Ops, the game runs very smooth.

^ This.
I can play lag free games most of the time so I think it might be a problem with your connection OP why not take it with your ISP? also have you tried rebooting your router? (Aka unplug it from the power outlet for a min or so and then plug it in once again)

I haven’t had a much prob with MM had some problems with spartan ops.but when I come out of that game and go into a new one seem to be ok.

Spartans Ops has gotten better, however I still do experience a fair bit of lag.

This coming from a 12 year old. Go to school kid. To the op, where you from? Because my connections great, mm and spops with the occasional laggy game.
If your using a wireless connection, try buying a “powerline” plug. My lag was unbaerable until I bought one. Never had a problem since. heres a link to an amazon page: link. your going to need the 500mb ones. Hope this helps
it’s probably your connection

Sounds like you are blaming Halof 4 for your own ISP’s problems. Lag issues tend to come from those with poor connections. Talk to your ISP to get the problem fixed, or shell out 10 extra bucks or so to boost your connection speed.
Than fix your connection
The lag doesnt need to be his fault. I to have huge connection issues and it’s not because of My own bad connection since I’ve had 100/100mbs for a couple of years now ( 15ms Ping). The problem is facing players from the other side of the world… I usually play against americans and they often pull host (im scandinavian).
Servers for each continent would fix this (most of it at least)!
But it’s not as bad as it were in the last 2 years of halo 3 (yet).
98% of the time it has nothing to do with your ISP, it has everything to do with your network setup, Alot of wireless network setups are sub par at best. you could honestly live on 5 MB Download and 2 MB upload if you have a well thought out network setup.
Packet loss?

lol I edited my post cause I didnt want to explain it, but ill put it in simple terms, think of your xbox as a pool outside on a windy day, a wireless connection is like trying to fill that pool from 20 feet away using a sprinkeler attactment on your hose, tho there is many other factors in an internet home network setup. like quality of router/number of people using internet ect ect
I dont like going into these things
Ok I see why

It’s definitely your internet connection’s fault. I almost never encounter lag in Halo 4, either in Spartan Ops or matchmaking.
