No it’s not my internet btw, party chat works fine with no lag, youtube, twitch, other xbox games, JUST Halo 5…It’s been 9 hours so far…when’s my money not gonna be wasted?
Where do you live? Matchmaking is really bad in some places. ESPECIALLY Austrailia

I’ve experienced lag in a few Warzone matches, but not too much. Maybe the servers are just under a lot of pressure. Who knows

I’m from Australia and I’ve only experienced lag for about a minute in 1 game.

I haven’t had a single issue, so its possible its not a server side issue… could be ISP based
Usually when a big game launches like Halo 5, online lags for the first week or so, mainly because everyone that bought it is all trying to get on at the same time and play and the servers were in no way prepared, It was like this for a lot of games.
UK here: I played 3 games last night - I experienced some lag on the first game where a couple players were warping about as they ran. The rest of the games I didn’t notice any but I probably declared that a couple deaths were caused by lag 
The only lag I had is when one of my friends was reaching the end of downloading the game onto his xbox, otherwise it was crystal clear
I have terrible connection issues in every halo I’ve ever played and this is the first time I’ve NOT had them. It’s a shock.

I had some lag earlier in breakout… its not a big deal. you know what i did? i came to work.
I’m getting these issues. It seems to be an issue with Time Warner Cable from what I can surmise from other people having the same issue. It’s only with Halo 5 and it makes the game unplayable. There’s a thread on reddit going on about it.

I’m having the same issues and have time warner, what’s the link to the thread? I also have the nxe preview and wasn’t sure if that was giving me problems.
did you set your data center? it might be an issue if your in america playing on australian servers 
So I after just trying a few things through trial and error I narrowed it down to just Halo 5 matchmaking, first I tried other games and they were working flawlessly. Then ran custom games and didn’t experience lag spikes at all. Once in matchmaking though the story changes. Everyone in my fireteam starts the game before I do, I start late and throughout the game it just spikes with people walking into walls and me spontaneously dieing.
Time warner cable is my provider
I ran a speed test and my results are
38.65 down
6.57 up
12 ms ping
My NAT is open.
I tried on my 5GHz WiFi connection and my 2.4 with no juice
I am the only person that lives in my house and I shut down every electronic that took up internet and still keep getting these lag spikes. It has rendered the game unplayable to me and its really depressing I was looking forward to enjoying Halo 5 with my friends and now I can’t.
Yeah I experienced ALOT of lag on this game since I got it. My internet is fine. I played other games online and they were fine, but for some reason, Halo kept lagging. 343, PLEASE FIX!
I haven’t lagged at all since launch - New Zealand.
