I’d just like to share that I believe that an increased velocity in weapons in infinite could alleviate lag issues… I know that they’re doing something special and lag may be less of an issue. But, I noticed in baggy games when I pick up a dmr… the bullets connect and things are less frustrating…
It might not be bullets velocity but I think it warrants 343 taking a look a what may help all players … even if the servers are awesomesauce… if they can implement the determining factor between the d mr and pistol in h5… they might be able to replicate and improve the game before launch…
Hoping to help

Not sure what you mean by ‘doing something special’, but I’m sure the servers are not the issue and any lag will be down to localised internet connections.

I’ve been matched several times with pros on Halo 5 (“balanced” setting). I live in Turkey. I’m pretty sure being thousands of miles away from the servers must have an impact on performance…

I am also thousands of miles away from the servers and the only frequent issues I have had in Halo was when my local line was losing too many packets and my ping went through the roof. The servers are generally no problem at all. If 343 could handle Warzone in Halo 5 they can handle Infinite BTB.

You’re telling me 350ms latency is not a problem when the guys I’ve been matched with are problably under 100ms at worst ? Well I’m not a network specialist so maybe you’re right. I would gladly accept a server in my own backyard though.
