I think its a bit of a down step from halo 4 how you can only customize your armor and helm in halo 5. I loved how in Reach and 4 you could do your visor, helm, sholder, forearm, legs/knees, and chest piece. dont get me wrong, i LOVE halo 5. but not being able to customize my armor fully is a bit anoying. I can join a lobby in warzone and see people with the same armor as me which is a little disharting because i like my armor to be original. I do like that I found MY armor (Warmaster helm, Warrior Blade body,(my gamer tag is Warmaster Blade :] )), but it is taking a layer of custimization that my friends and I all enjoyed. Is there anything you could do about that? like make the chest plate and sholders go together and the fore arms and legs their own thing? I am shure that would make Fans of reach and 4 happy.
This has been discussed to death. I personally don’t care and I actually do enjoy that people are forced into not making horrendous combinations, because I do notice. Unfortunately 343 has made plenty of armor that look worse then any of those combinations.
I wouldn’t care if Halo 6 had the same amount of customization as 5 but with only a few armor sets. Those armor sets would be hard to get and you could show off your accomplishments.
I think it had something to do with the limits of the new engine they’re working with. New consule, new engine, they’re still testing everything.
And to be completely honest I don’t really mind. Reach had some SERIOUSLY UGLY armor combinations, and 4 was no better. Now, at least, everyone looks like a REAL SOLDIER.

What accomplishments? Nearly every customization item in Halo 5 is given to you by a random number generator.
Though I wasn’t a great fan of Halo 4, it at least awarded you with customization items based on your own victories and achievements.

Umm…wat?
You’re kidding me, right?
No seriously, that’s the funniest joke of the decade.
…wait…you can’t…
No…
You’re actually serious?
Bungie’s Spartans looked like actual pieces of futuristic military gear, especially the ones in Reach. Their armour was functional, simplistic, yet looked great. But 343i’s designs make them look like pieces of modern art… More like over the top anime characters rather than “REAL SOLDIERS” as you put it. Are you seriously telling me that crap like this, this or this looks more like a proper walking tank than this or this? And what about how they completely destroyed the look of the Mark V?

Amen dude A- -Yoinking!- men. I do like the fotus armor though and agree with you about the Mark V, but if you are talking about master Chiefs armor NOW it is the Mark VI gen II… I think it’s gen II any ways now. But yes I agree completely I agree that there were some bad combos in halo reach and 4. BUT, I loved how you could make each armor your own I loved being me. Lmao twin-linked lol.

Because real soldiers have points and various right angles on their armor with bright colored under suits and exposed lower abdominal
areas.

So you picked some of the worst armor out of the 100 different sets in Halo 5, but also picked one of the worst Halo Reach combos I could think of. Reach had a handful of cool stuff, like Commando, Pilot, EVA and Grenadier but a tonne of ugly stuff like CQC, EOD, CQB, Air Assault, Gungnir, Military Police. Halo 5 has some excellent sets, including all of Blue Team and Osiris' sets, Noble, Locus, Achilles, Raijin, Mark IV, Helioskrill, Rogue, Shinobi, Mark VI variants, War Master, Scout, Void Dancer, Dead Eye, the list is longer than Reach.
I kinda agree with you. But I don’t think they will put as much as they did. Maybe just add back shoulders and some other things like that.
It’s different because of the REQ system. Imagine shoulders and arms, helmet attachments and all the stuff from reach, obtainable only via REQ packs. That’s awful.
So they didn’t do the work and spread the REQ customization parts to infinity. Yet, they wanted to spread them out just enough that it generates enough “buffer” from the actual requisitions usable in Warzone. With all the Emblems, Helmets, Stances etc etc we’ve already got way more content than anyone could ever use.
However, with armour seperated into shoulders and arm/ leg parts, imagine how ridiculous the REQ packs would be. And I bet they will not do work for things they can’t generate any more additional money with. That’s not their business model right now.
So yeah, a downgrade. But a good one if we look at how unlocking works now.
Well just look at the way they treated the MCC, clearly someone at 343 has a vendetta to wipe all customization from the Halo franchise.

Reported for cursing. Watch your mouth
I think we should at least be able to customize the shoulders of the spartan. I’m pretty sure it would not drastically affect the fps…

There’s an easy workaround for that : you could make the armour be unlocked in sets as they are now, but then split off that set into its separate pieces. To clarify, let’s say that you unlocked the Mark IV armour set, just like you do now. You would be able to go into shoulders, legs, arms, etc., and then select the Mark IV piece individually for each section. We would keep the current REQ system format, but then be able to use all of the armours we like.

That is an amazing idea
A big step down. H3 had it right, just not enough pieces of armour. Reach was ok but grinding to get creds for armour, not my thing. H4 wasnt good similar to H5, alot of amour but items look plastic such as Mark V. And the helmet and rest of your suit is only customisable, no mix’in isnt a good addition.
