Lack of weapon variety

Has anyone else noticed the lack of Power weapons during non infinity games?

I was thinking about it and without a set respawn time on each weapon there is far fewer weapons.

For example:
Halo Reach: Power House:
Grenade launcer: 1min 30 second respawn time - respawned 5ish times a game
Rockets: 3 mins- 3 times a game
Shotgun: 1:30 5ish a game
Hammer: 1:30 5ish a game
Thermal scope rifle thingy? (2mins?) 3ish a game
Grenades spawned every like minute also
There was also needlers and other weapons on map
Total= 20+ weapons easy

Halo 3:
Grenades spawned super fast
Same thing with weapons the set respawn times caused them to appear more

Halo 4: Adrift:
Sword: initial: 1 time
Sticky detonator: intial: 1 time
scattershot: initial: 1 time
A few random drops
Total= around 6-10 weapons

On top of that the weapons disappear extremely fast in Halo 4.

Idk if it’s just me, but sometimes I feel like I go multiple games in a row using my dmr and boltshot practically the entire game. It feels bland to me. If I wanted to use DMR only I would go play MLG customs.

-_- There are NINE weapons available for custom loadouts.
If all you ever use is a “DMR Boltshot” combo, that’s your fault.
Also, 343 is trying to push the “Ordnance drop” feature, by decreasing natural weapon spawns on the map. Its understandable that power weapons won’t spawn naturally, you’re supposed to call them in.

He’s talking about “non infinity games”.

This game has enough power weapons.

its just you. Grenade spawns respawn every 3 minutes and everything else is 2 minutes from when you picked it up.

That’s extremely slow for grenades. Grenades on Gaurdian Halo 3 spawned around 45 seconds from being picked up.

And initial drops don’t have repeat drops. The only time I have seen this is the sniper on Ragnorok which spawns 3 minutes from pick up I think

It’s extremely slow for everything. Fast timers on power items = fast gameplay. CE had a minute timer on OS, which was a lot more powerful than in the later games, and had much faster timers on weapons like rockets and sniper. Faster spawning power items = more incentive to move around the map, resulting in faster gameplay.

Congratulations, you are part of the problem. Go use the lightrifle, a man’s gun.

This is one reason why Team Slayer Pro is boring.

Every map basically only has the Needler, Sticky Detonator, and Scattergun. OCCASIONALLY a Sniper Rifle or a Shotgun. And honestly you are probably only going to get 2 kills with the needler or detonator anyways, barely even worth picking up.

Personal Ordnance Needlers and despawning weapons after 10 seconds don’t help either.

I respect anyone who uses this weapon.

Because this is Halo of Duty: Future Warfare, and not HALO.

343 has been more influenced with the modernization of shooter that they neglect the framework that works for Halo and it’s success.

I will use whatever weapons present me the greatest advantage in my given situation. I don’t care what you think is a “man’s weapon” I will continue to use whatever allows me to preform to the best of my abilities

I think you mean whatever gun has the highest autoaim and bullet magnetism.

precisely

It’s just you. This game is full of variety even in non POD gametypes.

I remember the infamous “weapon variety” arguments of Reach. AR+Magnum apparently had the value of 100 guns >_> just lol.
