Lack of "Oomph" in turrets

I absolutely love what I’ve seen so far in the technical preview, and Halo Infinite checks almost every single box for me, but I noticed that the turrets lack a lot of “Oomph”. They sound great and are good to bring into a fight, but they just feel too light to say you brought God’s wrath upon the blasphemous sinners, and more like you brought a new toy to the nerf fight. Adding a slight screen shake would work wonders on the neurons in my chimp brain. Static turrets, when detached, should sound and feel like you just ripped metal apart with your bare hands, rather than “It was supposed to do that”.

(ps. covenant/banished vehicle boosts could also use a higher fov change and screen shake upon the end of their boost if they only have limited boost)
(pps. I know it’s a technical preview and things are guaranteed to change, the devs are amazing and deserve as much praise as we can give them)

I could not agree more. 3 things I think could improve them:

  1. The new tracer effects are small and really hard to see.
  2. The shots need more impact (kicking up dirt, sparks, and a larger muzzle flash)
  3. I realize screen shake is an option that can be disabled now, but maybe forcing it a little would help here. Or at least have our character shake from the force of the gun a little.

I think the second option for the 3rd idea is better, a lot of people wouldn’t like forced shakes.
