After this years E3 reveal of Halo Infinite i felt better about the game compare to last years reveal but my main concern is the lack of campaign footage… they showed 8 minutes of campaign gameplay last year which was in need of massive improvements but this year showed no campaign gameplay?!.. i feel we defnitly need to see some and ASAP if the game is due out in only a matter of months! My other concern is where they will go with the story concerning Cortana but thats another subject altogether!

Either that or they don’t want to potentially release/ruin any of the potential story by revealing campaign gameplay prior to release? I guess we’ll just have to assume if multiplayer looks good then the campaign will look similar or potentially better as well. I’m okay with not knowing any of the story prior to release as I find that to be the most enjoyable part of playing the game for the first time. Don’t get me wrong I am curious how they tie into Halo 5 and/or explain what’s happened since Halo 5 and to the characters from Halo 5, and it makes me slightly nervous that those answers may not be given completely in this new story, but who knows.

I agree i was hoping for more but they did give valuable campaign teaser information but I did hear somewhere that more will be revealed in July at some point. Don’t quote me as I have a terrible memory but swear i heard that somewhere. I don’t like the somewhat replacement of Cortana but it does play deeply into the story where Cortana told chief this would happen as she was slipper deeper away back in 3 or 4. Now we know that someone captured Cortana and that she was supposed to be deleted so we are once again on the hunt for our favorite AI. I may be reaching a bit here but I do want Cortana back her and Chiefs relationship was incredible in these games and they havent been the same without her. We need some redemption at least since 4 really had a great ending for her then 5 ruined it all. 5 was a great game gameplay and MP wise but cortana’s story should have ended in 4 and not been tarnished like that. I hope for big redemption dreams in infinite.

Couldnt agree with you more bearcox!! Ive been preaching the same about the Cortana situation i really hope we get old Cortana back and theres a good explanation for her behaviour in halo 5 like she was corrupted by the logic plague or corrupted by the forerunner system or even didact before he was killed off but i cant accept them killing her off yet again and giving chief a new A.I it just wouldnt be the same and would be so out of character for chief to just accept! And i hope your right about more campaign being shown next month i just want to see campaign gameplay and see all the improvements they have made since last year im sure they could do that without giving away to much story!
343 will remember the backlash against the pre-game for Halo 5. We were told ‘too’ much - and then had it pulled out from under us anyway.

The emotion they conveyed with the Chief floating through the debris field as he paid respects to his fallen comrades… beautiful.
But yes, I would have loved a short Campaign gameplay reveal. At least to show us that things have taken a step forward from July last year.

Exactly! Cortana is just as much apart of Halo as Master Chief and we felt the pain of a poorly written Cortana in 5 so I hope they have that in mind for Infinite. But i am right there with you they need to show us something without giving away too much I do love story surprises and hate when you get an 8 minute story trailer that gives most of the main plot points away before the game even drops. I just want to see the new systems and gameplay in action with a good taste of what is to come on Zeta Halo. Either way though I just love Halo and no matter what this game will consume me. 
Its true they didnt show much this time around but it was a multiplayer focused reveal so I wouldnt worry too juch, then again there isnt all that much time left before the game ships so im really hoping they are just trying to hold off on showing too much yet

I don’t think we need to see some asap. They need to focus on finishing the game. Showing gameplay hurts development outside of a few months before launch

I at least expected to see a longer campaign trailer… they could at least throw everyone a bone and show some updated footage of the old demo, but I think that is super unlikely. Frankly, it probably doesn’t look that different, and I imagine they’re trying to avoid showing anything that admits how similar the game currently is to its state last summer.

I’m willing to bet any amount of money that at some point this new Cortana will merge with the original, restoring her back to her old self. I think the reason they have her MIA at the start is just so we can focus on the banished without needing any other explanation for where the prometheans are.
One question I have from what was shown is, How do you capture an A.I. that has access to the domain?
I’ve always held the belief that Cortana in H5 was a fake, that it was in fact the Forerunner Ancilla ‘Intrepid Eye’ disguising herself as Cortana to remove the chief from the board and destroying the human AI in one swoop.
