Hello everyone. I want to talk about the negative affects not having firefight has had on halo 5 guardians.
First off, not everyone likes pvp. 343i has focused so much on the MLG competitive try hards or whatever they are called. They probably represent 1% to 5% of the community tops. Not everyone likes to play pvp all the time. I like it here and there but not all the time. Look at what CoD did with zombies. I’m not comparing the games but it is a survival mode for when people get bored of pvp and keeps them playing. Even though BO3 and BO2 zombies sucked, it was still something different for players to do to keep them interested in the game.
Second, it lowers population count. I bought halo reach solely for campaign and firefight. Without a pve it takes away the casual people. Also, halo 5 campaign is not as replayable as previous titles.
Third, warzone is not a good enough replacement for firefight. The AI are very very very limited. Examples a Phantom drops one elites and 3 grunts. Or a phantom drops 2 hunters. How about having challenging AI and more of them. At least have them move around the entire map. Warzone to me isn’t very fun at all. At least in Halo 4 they added in spartan ops. The wasn’t as good as firefight but it was still another pve mode.
Lastly, warzone pve will not work. It is a GREAT concept but it will not work. 343i will limit the amount of AI in the game and there won’t be enough of them for the amount of players that there are. All in all too many assists. Also with pve warzone, not everyone wants to play with other spartans. I loved playing odst and reach lone wolf style. Made it seem more fun.
Tell me what you think. Was it right for 343i to exclude classic firefight?
