Pretty much in the title of the thread. Very disappointed with the lack of customization items that can be earned outside of the battle pass let alone the lacklustre items that are free in the battle pass.
Is this an indication that all customization will be locked behind pay walls? Nothing will be earned through achievements, challenges, feats, gameplay? Very concerned with this model if this is the case.
I want to unlock stuff as I play. I understand battle passes are here but don’t lock it all behind them. Almost all the customization items available are locked behind the battle pass. If this is how it’s going to be I’ll get fed up eventually (I’m sure others will too) and ditch the game. Hopefully when the full game releases there will be free earnable items available outside of the battle pass mechanics.
I love customizing my spartan, but I’m not going to pay money to do it. That’s ridiculous.

The one good thing about infinites horrible battle pass system is that they aren’t limited time only things so what I would suggest is using Microsoft rewards to get a 10 dollar xbox gift card to get the battle pass that’s what I’m going to do cuz I’m dirt poor and can’t afford to spend 10 bucks on the BP hell even if I was rich I probably wouldn’t spend actual money on it I would still just use ms rewards lol but yeah I do agree it really sucks how little there is for the free bp I understand that since it’s f2p they have to make money somehow and having all the cosmetics behind the premium BP is how they get people to pay but I just feel like they could find a better balance you know?

Everyone on the forums is going nuts over the terrible challenges and the slow progression, but my problem is that 75% of the free rewards for this game are just challenge swaps.
This seriously jeopardizes the longterm health of the game as any nonpaying players are going to stop playing after they play the game for 5 hours, earn a challenge swap, play for 8 more hours, and only earn another challenge swap
This was a terrible idea from 343, they at least need to add a way to earn in-game currency while playing the game similar to what Apex Legends does.
