We are reaching the point where halo will almost be exclusively played socially. I honestly thought the surprise they were teasing in the live stream was going to be Team Doubles… But no. They have decided to add in firefight, another large social experience instead of adding quality competitive playlists. So we now only have competitive playlists in Arena, Slayer, Swat, and Breakout. Personally I consider Swat and Breakout to be more social playlist than competitive but nevertheless thats what they are claiming them as. Social on the other hand, we now have BTB, CTF/Assault, Fiesta, Griffball, Warzone, Warzone Assault, and now soon to be added Firefight. I mean seriously? WTH? We only have two legitimate competitive playlist and multiple social options for players. I’m literally dumbfounded. You are holding a 2.5 million dollar tournament next month… yet the vast majority of the game consists of social gaming. Almost half a year post launch and you have two competitive playlists to play. The population of this game will soon be dropping dramatically without the existence of more competitive playlists included with the ever growing social playlists.

Nope. 100% serious. The game has a serious lack of competitive playlists outside of Arena and Slayer.
