Personally I’ve always enjoyed a more competitive way of play. I like winning and doing good at the game. But sometimes I like to just take it down a notch and play something fun. This isn’t going into lack of game types but more so just lack of Casual support. Sure there’s BTB and Warzone but what if I just want to play slayer just not hardcore balls to the wall slayer? It seems like this is a problem for a lot of people who just play this game for fun. Not everyone wants to be super competitive but there’s little option for them. For us competitive players we have Team Arena (composed of multiple game modes) Slayer, Free for All, and Breakout. Casual gets BTB Warzone, a changing social playlist and Grifball. I feel like a large portion of the community are being shunned away for not wanting to take this game seriously and right now the Halo community can’t afford to shun players away. We aren’t as big as we used to be. Just add in a social playlist the resembles the regular arena playlist.
I would like to see more casual playlists as well. Fiesta is a step in the right direction, I hope it makes it easy to get an action sack out. Community maps and social playlists will be welcome when they arrive.
