I’ve identified some aspects of the game that are below average or completely lacking. This being on PC technical preview with the training mode.
For example the below:
Shoot a monitor mounted on the wall, electronic panel, vehicle windscreen and no glass cracks will appear. Shoot the plastics bottles lying around in Bazaar and nothing will happen. They barely even move. (They should get a bullet puncture and start leaking water or deflate). The fruit physics is like physics from the very early 2000s. There’s no blood decals whatsoever. Bullet decals are the same bullet decal no matter the different calibre of bullet. And the exact same when shooting a puddle of water. Explosion decals are underwhelming.
Why is there no collision physics? Even the first Halo game had this…
The 'body type options for Spartan customisation seems completely pointless. There’s not enough ‘options’ nor difference. They all look androgynous.
Not enough ammunition carriage. Only 216 rounds max for the assault rifle. Seriously?? And only 72 for the Sidekick? Even real life soldiers can carry more ammunition then that into battle depending on what soldier combat ensemble they are utilising. And this is supposed to be a fictional game that’s not a simulator so we should be able to carry more ammunition then real life soldiers.
Some bots get stuck and start flickering in place on some points of the MP maps. I saw a bot get stuck at a wall and start clipping in place on the Bazaar map.
Loading screens are still quite long even with an M.2 SSD.
Shadow pop in and flickering is prevalent on Bazaar.
The Spike weapon should impale enemies onto walls and the like. Again this is a “attention to detail” aspect that is overlooked.
RTX 2080 Ti, i9 9900KS, 32GB DDR4 Ram @ 3733 Mhz, 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD, Windows 10 Pro (latest update) at 3440x1440p resolution and capped at 60 FPS. Still getting the occasional FPS drop. And even when it’s stable sadly the game itself feels wrong. Like there’s some kind of framepacing issue happening in the background. AND this is performance issues only with the very small maps. Imagine how much worse the performance may be with the open campaign and BTB maps with vehicles…
Conclusion. The lack of attention to detail is very perturbing for a game in development for 6 whole years. And when it’s lacking good tech that has existed for over a decade and more and yet has performance issues. Something is amiss.
Real life soldiers do not carry more than that in person. I have zero clue where you got this impression from. Bullets are absurdly heavy and the amount of ammo far exceeds what people carry.
Impaling people would probaby ruin the teen rating for the game. The physics for things do need to come back and I wonder why this doesn’t exist. The game has plenty attention to detail however a lot of your points still hold true. Many things in this game are extremely detailed and it’s important to not overlook them.
real life average troop carrie aroud 7 to 9 mags 7 mags of standard 5.56 is 210 rounds, the body types i do not have a problem with, also collision and no attention to shooting things im sure thats on the tech side and might be there when full game releases

See I get it, map detail is important for immersion, I remember shooting the alcohol barrels in TimeSplitters 2 and being amazed as they would leak from the bullet holes, but I feel like I’m in a minority at this point who just doesn’t care if these kind of details are included or excluded from a game,
I just want to have fun and these gimmicks won’t hinder the experience for me, it’s the core gameplay I want to see tweaked as oppose to these details, if they’re in another game or not doesn’t really matter as it’s become petty point scoring at this point between fans of & [y] to see which game is better because of it.
I agree with some of your other points, especially the bots being stuck, I watched one sprinting into a wall and stopping now and then to shoot said wall.

You usually carry 2-3 mags of 5.56 and 1 -2 mags of 9mm on person.

I served in the military. The only time you carry 7 mags is when you are in a combat zone which in terms of the entire military is the minority of the time. Worth noting that Spartans don’t have ammo pouches all over their body too.

It does have to be the full game. They want feedback and thus I provide feedback.

you need to do some research on were spartans put there ammo and you just agreed with me that they carrie 7 mags because they are in a combat zone they are spartans, im done with this conversation im know what im talking about …
No offense. But you would think Spartans who can’t always rely on supply drops would carry more ammunition then normal soldiers. Plus it’s a game. Constantly running out of ammo is annoying. Let alone having it happen all the time in a campaign with larger exploratory areas.
