Lack of ammo on maps.

It is really frustrating that there are never any weapons on the maps. What is the point of me choosing my own weapon to spawn with if I can only use it for a few kills? Is it to punish me for not dying often? Is it that hard to have some DMRs and BRs spawn on the map for me to pick up when my spawn weapon runs dry? With the nonsense of weapons despawning every 13 seconds I end up being forced to carry a pair of situational power weapons at a time, or just nade myself to death(but only if I don’t use up my only 2 nades first because I can’t pick them up off enemies).

Get out there and stop camping! Go in for a little CQB.

Sorry, I’m not going to run into enemies just for ammo. I can’t help playing smart.

You knows there’s the AMMO perk. You start off with more ammo than you would normally carry.

What’s the point in letting me choose my perks if I am just forced to use one at all times? I thought Halo 4 was about choice. I like having Dexterity and Stability more than I do just having an extra mag off spawn.

There you go. You made your choice.

Not a choice if it is forced upon me.

Just another thing 343 forces upon you…

I believe it’s a tactic to make you less durable and more vulnerable to make the bad players think they’re good.

I find it frustrating also.

So go get a weapon form a fallen teammate or an enemy that you just killed. Had a game last night where I was out of ammo for a while. I made my way over to the enemies side of Ragnarok, ran up and beat a guy down, picked up his gun, and well I died about 2 seconds later. lol

Not enough ammo on spawn, but maybe that is good to cure the DMR campers a bit.

I never seem to pick up ammo when killing people though, I’m always running out and I’m always moving about and in the action. Maybe I just have bad luck with it!

Either camper or troll, but here are some options:

Ammo perk

Better aim

pick up other weapons, of which there surely will be, since all of your ammo must be going somewhere, right?

> Either camper or troll

Neither. With instant respawn, and the amount of teamshot that goes on in this game, I’m not going to run to a fallen foe while weak for some ammo for a gun I didn’t even choose to spawn with.

> Ammo perk

What is the point in choosing my secondary perk if I am just forced to use the Ammo one? What if I want to use Explosives? Or Dexterity? Or Stability?

> Better aim

Doesn’t solve anything. I still have a harshly limited amount of ammunition per life with a low chance of getting any more.

> pick up other weapons, of which there surely will be, since all of your ammo must be going somewhere, right?

It doesn’t go anywhere. It disappears after 13 seconds.

Anyone arguing against this point, you are the ones who probably suck. Its a big issue with decent players on killing sprees. Weapons despawn really quickly and the chance of someone using the same weapon as me also is even lower due to the ammount of weapons you can initially spawn with.

Why would I risk running into the enemy’s base with no ammo just to give them a free kill?

It’s worse when I play Adrift. I can go an entire game and not find anyone using a Magnum or Storm Rifle.

I can’t put my finger on it, but I believe it’s like that for a reason…

Well OP, after extensive scientific analysis, and after talking it over with my colleagues and having sent a report to the head of our department, I have come to the conclusion that you are trolling.

Have a nice day everyone.

No, its a genuine problem.

You have the choice of customizing FIVE load outs to how you want to play and one of those load outs you can have the ammo perk if you feel the need to switch load outs mid game.

I can’t switch loadouts mid-life. That solves nothing. I am basically being punished for going on a long spree.

And for anyone saying “camper,” why would getting ammo from predefined locations be any more “camper” than previous games?
