Glad to be done with Tenrai, so I won’t have to play Infinite until May, unless they add another new event. Hated playing Fiesta on Infinite. Worst Fiesta in Halo history.

lol as soon as the update downloaded, Infinite wouldn’t open for me and said I needed to factory reset my Xbox One X to fix it. So you might not be totally right about the didn’t break anything this time part

They broke something. I can’t even launch the game on PC now. Some others are having the same issue.
Its crazy how long it took them to get this patch out…
But when the comp community complains about Behemoth in Ranked they jump on it and remove it so quickly…

At this point might just have to just stop playing and try again in a year. The more I play the more I realize Infinite is just a horrible game. Least in terms of multiplayer. I enjoyed the campaign.

Okay 343 actually broke something. The GEEGEE Emblem Color Palette changed from Indigo to Cyan. Why 343? Indigo was my favorite color. Give me a break.
I was kicked from BTB queue 3 times in a row. Tell me it ain’t broke.
Ranked still broke, BTB possibly breaking again, textures are different, servers still jank, and some people can’t even start the game? Also still no new content.

They actually had to remove some HCS stuff to replace it with new HCS stuff. The UI is large, but apparently too much work for a small indie dev team to add to
I’ve been part of teams that hired contractors to redo our apps GUI as a total rewrite of the system. Everything was great until three contractor left and pprone realized we didn’t document or train on half the new GUI’s features, and we basically couldn’t get any work done that involved GUI work while they figured out wth was going on.
I’m seeing a lot of similarities to that in communications 343 has been sending out tbh. Makes sense knowing what we do about Infinite’s development too

Yep. I work in software and it’s hard enough to get permanent devs to document their code much less contract employees. Contract devs are in it for the quick money and don’t care about the code since they won’t have to maintain it.

I guess 343 likes not having money if they’re not going to release actual content for mid seasonal updates. Maybe Microsoft is betting that they have enough wealth to where they feel like they don’t have to listen to any of the feedback from Halo fans. And since 343 seems to struggle in not being able to have enough people to actually work on making their game good, it seems like broad feedback is just something that’s going to go over their heads.
So, here’s some super specific feedback that they should take into consideration. To 343:

Put in new maps (preferably 5 or more. maybe 3 4v4 maps and 2 12v12 maps as an example) for season 2’s release. If you’re struggling with the creativity aspect, you can always just remake old maps from Bungie-era video games. People absolutely loved the remake of Zanzibar and Last Resort in Halo 2: Anniversary.

Make things in the store cheaper, nothing should cost more than 1,000 CRs. And that price point should be reserved for complete armor bundles, complete as in a helmet, shoulder and knee pieces, chestplate, you get the idea (God I hope so)

Make a freaking road map. People want to know what your plans are for Halo Infinite and how you’ll implement them. I can tell that not doing this is going to cause people to turn away from Halo Infinite and give you less money. You guys do want money, right?

Allow for cross-core customization, namely for visors, armor coatings, armor effects, etc. Also, fix the effect where the digital visor cuts through the Gungnir helmet piece. I know you guys claimed that the whole armor coating system was to avoid this sort of issue, but clearly that wasn’t true.

Give Season 2 a larger battle pass [I’d say around 150 tiers should be a good place], and put more armor pieces in the free track. The premium track should be reserved for fun, quirky stuff, like a rainbow explosion upon death.

Make the challenges less dependent on game modes and weapon types. There’s still a ton of RNG into getting to the right match to complete those challenges, making getting through them too tedious.

While I may be struggling to come up with further feedback, one thing I think should be an absolute must is for someone at 343 to comb through all of the forums on Halo Waypoint and post at least one comprehensive comment in each of these forums. Halo Support just isn’t cutting it, and not everyone uses twitter.
I think the mid season update made the servers revert back to the way they were before the geofiltering update. Tons of desync and it makes me so sad

But that’s assuming the ahem “pro players”, like this new map and don’t have it removed from the rotation as well. Otherwise- we have the same maps as now for another 9-10 months (going by flight testing time to now)
