KSI Global Gaming
Hello Gamers! I am FireFist 7, a 7 year KSI veteran. I joined KSI back in April of 2008 and had a year or so break in between. KSI is a community of like minded gamers who enjoy structure and creating new bonds by meeting new people all around the gaming world. It is a community “For Gamers, Ran by Gamers”. Every leader in KSI is a gamer just like you. So I am here to talk to you about KSI and invite you to come and join the family of gamers so that you may experience online gaming at a different level.

History
KSI Migrated to the xbox back in 2003. Throughout the years there has been many changes with many different leaders with different styles of leadership. There has been ups and downs but overall, In my opinion, KSI has been a great experience. Every person has their own story of KSI, So I invite you to join our world and come up with your own story.

Structure
Rules and Regulations
In KSI there are many rules and regulations. Many gamers get turned off about this but they are there for a good reason-this is the internet. On the internet there is always a mystery when it comes to who you will interact with whether they are a nice person or a extremely rude person. The rules we enforce are to make sure our community is safe and a fun environment for all.

Member Organization Breakdown
KSI is broken down into two separate sections: Clan ops, which concentrates on gaming with consoles, and Web ops which concentrates on working within our website doing one of many different jobs.

On the Clan Ops side of KSI, it is broken down into Divisions. A Division will have a specific name which is selected by the member who opened the Division. Within Divisions there are Squads. Each squad specializes in a specific game title. The reason for this is so that it is easier to find fellow clan members who play the same game as you.

On the Web Ops side of KSI, it is broken down into Departments. Each Department has its own job on our website. An example is the News department, they do research on anything game related such as future games releases or current games. They would also cover any news related to KSI itself. Below is a breakdown of our many departments

  • Moderation Team - Focuses on enforcing the rules and handling any issues which may arise. - News Team - Covers all news on gaming and KSI. - Productions Team - Makes videos such as montages for members or videos based on KSI itself. Check out their work: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheKSIProductions/videos - Graphic Arts Team - Creates all type of art for members or KSI itself. - Awards and Achievements Program Team - They make sure members receive any awards they deserve. - History Team - They record all history of KSI and are working on creating a wiki page for us! - Tournaments and Events Team - They host and organize all tournaments and events for KSI. - Marketing team - They go out and spread the word of KSI to different areas of the online world.As you can see from the above, KSI has plenty to do; whether you are interested in Gaming or Interested in working on a website for fun. We strive to take online gaming to the next level and hope to encourage those around us to join in on the fun.

Ranking Structure
As i mentioned earlier, we strive to make KSI fun and safe, KSI has close to 4,000 members right now. So to make sure our community is living up to the standards created for it, we give outstanding members who change their name to reflect KSI an opportunity to be part of what we have to offer.

Elected members are tasked with making sure KSI offers the highest quality of gaming to the rest of the community. The ranks of Recruit through General are Squad Ranks. Co-Founder Through Division Leader are Divisional Ranks which are achieved after you are promoted past General. There are also Ranks beyond Divisional Ranks which are Director and a Senior Director. for a breakdown of each rank please read this page: http://www.ksiglobal.org/portfolio/rankstructure/.

All above members of KSI are the Board of Directors. This group of members are those who have risen through the ranks and have devoted themselves to KSI for many years and are now in charge of making decisions for the entire KSI Community.

Good evening KSI I wanted to run 3 different offers by you and your clan:

  1. Would you clan be interested in being a part of a larger community the Epsilon Fleet! Our website is EpsilonFleet.com and if you decide to become a part of the Fleet you will still retain leadership over your people the only difference is that you will be a part of a larger community. A more active community. A community that is always growing and I can only foresee a bountiful future.

  2. If you were not interested in being a part of the Fleet would your clan be interested in being a part of the Sector Nine Federation which is a clan alliance. The information can be found on the this thread Sector Nine Federation Coalition

  3. If you were opposed to both of those ideas well the Fleet would like to have a clan battle against you. A friendly battle to provide activity to both of our clans. Nothing against your clan just want do a battle haha.

KSI is the main gaming community that has restructured todays current communities, our ranking structure is replicated across 95% of all communities and our Code of Conduct is again almost replicated across all platform communities.
We’ve been around since 2003 with over 30,000 gamertags registered to our website. We’ve represented MLG in chicago in the past and have even had sponsors once upon a time.
In 2004 our community exceeded 10,000 members.

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our community. On behalf of the Leaders of KSI i would have to respectfully decline your offer to join either organization. We are very active with almost 4,000 members today and have managed to keep KSI running for 13+ years. We will always remain independent and continue to grow as we always have. We always welcome friendships but we do not form any alliances.

That being said, every month we host a KSI wide event known as Weekend Warfare where all of our many squads compete against each other and we live stream it for the public. I can talk to our tournaments and events team and see if we can fit a couple of your teams in our next Weekend Warfare event. Would probably be after June for we are preparing to host our annual spirit week event which consists of squad battle and competitions all week long for prizes. I would love to invite your clan but this is a KSI only event unfortunately.

Thank you again for the offer. I will remain in touch with you about possibly allowing a couple of your teams to compete in our Weekend Warfare event.

First of all, don’t mind my GT, I am from FTG but I am considering leaving so I am trying to find the right community for me to join. I wet on KSI global.com but that didn’t really help me whit finding any info. So I figure I’ll just ask a few questions. What halo games does KSI play? This is pretty important towards my choice of joining or not. If you only play halo 5 then I’m not interested. I would like it best if you played reach still but I highly doubt it so as long as you guys still play Halo 4 or anything before it, I will consider joining. My next question is: is it required to be active? Depending on what game it is, I may be less active or more active. And lastly, is KSI competetive or do you play for fun? It doesn’t really matter, I’m just wondering.

Hey there locust. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. We play halo 5, Halo reach and Halo 4. I am assuming you are on the 360? about being active, as long as you are not an officer, being on a couple days a week or so is okay. We are a social community. Our goal is so people have a place to find like minded gamers and have fun. So skill is not a requirement unless you are looking to join one of our competitive teams.

Alright sounds great! I am active on both the 360 and the ONE but I would prefer to be in a reach squad on the 360. Other than that it seems like FTG and KSI are very similar. We must have “borrowed” a few ideas from you guys. By the end of the week i will try to make a desicion on whether or not I want to join.

Actually, you know what? I WILL join. FTG is just falling apart and I’ve seen it happen before. I do not want to go through that again.
