I highly doubt KoTH will ever return. Why? Well based on 343i’s inability to remove SWAT which was only meant to be week thing in the first place has only shown that SWAT is unlikely to ever leave as its alway one more week guys.
Seccondly there is going to be weekly playlist rotation still. Next theres the crimson map pack playlist.
So how will KoTH be fit back in? This could be counter productive as you are removeing a playlist to put a playlist in geared towards map pack buyers which could cause population loses.
They could merge Oddball, KOTH, and CTF into one 5v5 Objective playlist. This would free up an extra playlist slot for something like, Idunno. Team Snipers? Action Sack?
IMO what 343 needs to do is to stop saying “Swat will stay another week” because we all know SWAT’s population does well. It should be announced permanent and that’s it.
Then they need to create a team objective playlist, incorporating Oddball, CTF and KoTH. This playlist should be 5v5.
Then they add these 3 objective gametypes to BTB in an 8v8 scenario.
The way 343 designed these objective gametypes was done badly imo, it splinters the community too much.

KoTH is still being featured in the Crimson DLC playlist on 10th December… just saying. We’ll still be able to play KoTH but just not whenever we feel like because there will be Slayer, Oddball, CTF etc in that same playlist.

true but still i think that the regular playlist should return because im sure a lot of people will want to do commendation completion but wont have the money for the dlcs. heck i got the LE but id still rather have a just KoTH playlist cuz im sure the dlc maps will get old quickly.
they should just merge KoTH with Oddball = Team Objective.
AND while 343 are BSin, they could just revise ALL playlists and adjust it similarly to Halo 3’s when they release the CSR ranking**(which will hopefully show in game ranks)**.
