Apparently the remastered maps won’t play like the original as it is running on a modified Xbox One engine.
I was all for seeing our beloved Halo 2 maps with new graphics, but NOT on the cost of gameplay 
Im hoping the original maps is also to be found included, they have to! Otherwise there is a chance that the 6 best Halo 2 maps are ruined.
If that is the case my expectations will will take a huge dive.

I swear its like people dont read anything. All the original maps are still there in their original engines, the h2A maps are a bonus running in a new engine.

What do you mean when you say “they have(n’t) been particular(ly) clear about that”
1st - Learn english.
2nd - They have been EXTREMELY clear. 343 have said multiple times in multiple interviews and on this website that all the original multiplayers from the original games would be included with no modifications (aside from 1080P and 60fps).
The games will play exactly as they did after the most recent patch. No MORE CHANGES. They even mentioned Halo 2 specifically and said that all “glitches” in the game would still exist, button combos (boo) and ways to get out of the maps.
3rd - For Halo 2 Anny they have been clear that it will run on a Halo 4/Halo5 hybrid engine. Those 6 maps will run on that engine alone and will play completely differently.
The only things that weren’t clear was Halo 1 and 2 PC maps, which was said to be in the new game.
The only things that are still not clear, Sidewinder - will it be Xbox version or PC Version. Will the PC weapons and vehicles be in the Halo 1 game. And if Halo 2 Anny maps/engine will be updated to work with Halo 5 when it come out in 2015.
