Knight's blade

Has anyone gotten a weapon with the new Knight’s Blade attachment? If you don’t know what it is it’s a new attachment added in the Hammer Storm update and is similar to an energy bayonet but it can destroy vehicles when you melee them. It looks like a promethean blade on the end of a weapon.

I saw someone with on in a game never got to use it though

I have it, used it once, but not sure it made a difference.

Same boat as you lol. I am curious if it does the same damage to infantry as the normal blade.

I only used it the day the update dropped because the BR had it at level 5 which made no sense to me.The next day it was level 8. I’d rather use my SMG with the bayonet and Sentinel DMR with stabilization jets at level 8 so I haven’t used it since. Didn’t notice any difference cause who melees vehicles ever?

if you’re close enough to Melee, you’re close enough to board, so I don’t see the point of it

Exactly. I gotta say it does look really cool though.

That sounds metal as -Yoink-. I wanna slice Ghosts into pieces. \m/

I love melee, but that just seems like a terrible idea to melee a vehicle. I have been known to occasionally melee the DRIVER to kill them when the opportunity arises (jump over ghost/hog, melee down after the “windshield” is past you), but never a VEHICLE itself. Not on purpose anyway. Not including boarded tanks anyway. That just seems silly, lol. Great way to get yourself splattered.

The only use I see out of the night blade attachment is if you have a jerk teammate circling the Monument on Noctus in a ghost or scout hog betray splattering.

When i want an anti-vehicle attachment on my loadout weapon I will use the kinetic bolts versions and shoot from a distance. No sense getting up close to a vehicle to try and punch it into oblivion, would rather hijack it or board and grenade if that close.

The kinetic bolts do extra damage to both vehicles and prometheans. Any chance the Knight’s blade does extra damage to prometheans as well? Could be useful for bosses.

From my experience, the Knight’s blade is weaker than the energy bayonet with infantry melees. With the bayonet, I can one hit someone from any direction every once in a while, especially if I get the lunge (especially funny when using active camo). With the Knight’s blade, I have yet to one hit anyone. I use the bayonet instead, just because it seems to have a higher chance of insta-kills.

I may be wrong, but I believe the energy bayonet is always insta-kill, unless the enemy has the armor mod for improved shields and you’re not using the armor mod to increase your meelee strength.

If that’s the case then my point is definitely more valid. I dunno, I like to think that bayonets were made to stab people, not vehicles.

I don’t have it unlocked, but I was able to pick it up off of some guy’s body and melee’d an enemy, and when I did, I noticed it knocked him back further than it normally would. I died shortly after, so I didn’t have the opportunity to see if the knight blade has a knockback effect. It didn’t one-shot him like the bayonet does, but it seems to have greater knockback.

Don’t know there are a bunch of weapons that say they deal extra damage to vehicles but don’t really do much

Where did you hear that kinetic does more Promethean damage and by description the knight blade only does more vehicle damage

I don’t know why a melee with “vehicle knockback” would be useful. It’s pretty much the same as the bayonet, same req level and such. Kinda useless imo to add it.

I got a Legendary DMR with it on in my Warzone Daily Win Pack the day the update came out. I forgot about it until just now. Thanks, I’ll have to try it out.

I found one and it acts just like the energy bayonet. But it does more damage against vehicles.
