All of these are taken from the EU pros HCS league finals showing off some stuff from the new update that should be coming out soon. As you can see in the 4th image we’re going to be getting a assault rifle weapon skin with cats on it. A skin with cats on it… What do you guys think?
Y’know, I can tolerate the pizza Assault Rifle, the French fry Magnum, and all of the other ridiculous skins 343 has thrown at us, but this one… this one bothers me for some reason.
Meh. Won’t be using them. Gold Standard until 343 adds a set that matches my colors.
Spartans are in lore now running around with Pizza and fries on their guns, why not cats.
I might actually use the cats because it adds insult to injury

Yeah. Kind of feels like they’re doing it deliberately just to piss people off that didn’t appreciate their pizza/fries skins. It’s just really unnecessary and it’s a bit immature on 343i’s part…

That skull magnum skin looks freakin sweet!
Is there an issue with the skins? I mean gears and CoD have so many that make pretty rainbows and glow and even have hearts. It’s just something they do and ultimately it has no effect on gameplay itself.
keep in mind I’m saying this as someone who doesn’t use those colorful weird skins, I use the more cooler ones like gold standard or the tron like set and everyone has their own tastes. You could like camo style while another may like a glowing pink heart gun.
The tabby cat skin looks fantastic. The pizza and french fries skins were repulsive in my opinion but with owning a couple of tabby cats, I will enjoy this weapon skin.

They haven’t said yet. All we know is that it’s coming “very soon”.

Sometime this week 7th-11th.
Brace yourselves, Spartans! We are heading down the dark and colorful road that Call of Duty did. If we do not shut this -Yoink- down now, Spartans will be running around on maps made out of candy, we will be dabbing in the victory screen, and Spartans will be dressed up like clowns, using “The Gumdrop” as their weapon of choice, which obviously shoots colorful gum drops.

I wish 343 would make red skins for every weapon. There is no Red Dmr or SMG and there is only the red HCS BR. Plus Christmas is coming( 21 Days ) so it would make sense to release a set in this update.

As if they know they have the hardcore fans by the balls anyway, so they just push our buttons because we’ll support the game regardless… tired of all the casual/childish garbage tarnishing the Halo brand!
Not surprised at all that 343 would use a popular Internet animal meme figure. It gives me parents trying to be cool vibe, but it’s whatever.

I honestly think default BR, Magnum, and SMG look better than any of the skins for them. I use “Clash” for the DMR and “Shark Tooth Grin” for the AR and that’s it. Sometimes I’ll run out of ammo and grab another player’s gun off the ground and just be disgusted that they chose to look at that mess every single match. lol

I think the main difference is that Halo 5 seems to be trying very hard to cater to younger audiences. For example, the lack of blood, fighting more non-human enemies (prometheans), the overall aesthetic of the game looking more cartoony. The T for teen rating is also further indication of this. I think that’s the issue with the skins. Also doesn’t help with the fact that these skins are canon to Halo’s lore now.
Is that an official Ed Hardy magnum? I don’t think my Spartan wears Axe body spray or has a chin-strap beard or a sideways ballcap, so I’ll have to pass on that one.
