THE GRENADES! This is a ranked problem overall but king of the hill makes it 1000x worse. In Ranked all players should spawn with ONE frag grenade. All grenade pickup spots around the map should be ONE grenade. That would immediately solve the issue of grenade spamming without actually nerfing grenades or the ability to throw them.

I think the old version of King of the Hill was superior, although I will need to play more to be able to know for sure. I do like the idea and principle behind the new version, but I think the simplicity of the old version just made it play better.
I’m not a fan of it compared to old KoTH. As a unique game mode it’s okay. But it’s not really the KOTH I knowa and love.
The fact the Hill doesn’t move until it is secured kills the strategy of abandoning the hill to scoop weapons and setup for a new one. I mean you still can but it’s not the same as getting to a hill first means nothing in this mode. You don’t get the bonus time as it boils down to whoever wins the hill only gets 1 point. Strategy is very different.
I also dislike how on Recharge the first Hill is on Camo. It means there is just a huge brawl. No nuance of how many to send to Hill and how many to powerup.
Maybe it will grow on me over time. I’ll enjoy playing it but probably nowhere near as much as a good game of MLG Construct Hill in Halo 3.
