Hello Halo Community, I have a Question about CEA w/Kinect, Will the Kinect for CEA be included when you buy Any Copy of CEA or will I have to buy a Kinect CEA that will only work with Kinect vice-versa.
o.O
You have to buy your own Kinect. They run anywhere from $100 to $150.
And your question is confusing. Kinect is an addition to the 360, not just CEA. The things they are using the Kinect for are just little pluses and incentives to own a Kinect, but there’s no requirement to have one except to access the Analyze feature.
The $40 CEA game only includes the disk. You’ll have to buy the Kinect separately. The game will include the Kinect features no matter what edition you buy, but the Kinect exclusive features will not be available to you unless you have the Kinect sensor (according to Joystiq).
Oh, I have a Kinect Already but what I meant in the Original Post is that how some games are just Kinect only by themselves, and won’t work without the Kinect Sensor (i.e - Kincet Adventures, etc.) and will CEA be like that; as well as one where you could just buy the Non-Kinect Edition?
Now do you understand? =)
I’m not sure I completely understand what you’re asking but I’ll answer as best I can. There is one version of CEA, it is Kinect compatible but you don’t have to have Kinect to use it.
If a new game touts Kinect features, then all editions of it will have it. CEA will only come in one flavor, no other editions.
Microsoft wouldn’t segregate their Kinect owners by allowing developers to release a version of a game that doesn’t include the Kinect features if a game is utilizing the device. So pretty much, if a game has the “Plays Better With Kinect” thing on it, then every single disc printed of that game will have those Kinect features.
