I wanted to open a discussion/speculate what could be on His back?

If that is the Jetpack Thruster then it seems to be protecting the back of the head realy well from a potential HS.
the whole video i was thinking that they would explain it 
some kind of stupid looking backpack where you can store your lunch.

Not a jetpack. Look at Grif and Simmons they are equiped with Jetpacks.
