Kinda going to miss most REQ weapons

Now that the weapon sandbox is simplified and balanced, it makes me sad that all the unique weapons 343i created in Halo 5 just don’t get carried on. Don’t get me wrong, some of the cloned armory I won’t miss. But the ONI/Hannibal (Especially Hannibal) designs are something I will, they were very unique vehicles classes. Including some weapons that were more ‘legacy-specific’ like Prophet’s Bane, Tartarus Gavel, Jorge’s Chaingun.

I counted those to be very good implementations for the sandbox when it comes to having fun. I hope these weapons can make a return. Speaking of which, makes me mad that Halo 5 glitch where mixing the weapon mechanics together cant return. >~>

I agree, hopefully they can bring back Super Fiesta at some point, or sprinle them through the campaign of Halo Infinite. I loved so many of the REQ varaints like the answer

With Infinite’s 10 year plan no reason yet to assume weapon variations won’t return. The different loadout variations are not plausible but I expect many classics and legacy weapons to be added through the years.

I expect most of the stuff in Halo 5 to be brought back sooner or later, if only for a Warzone firefight 2.0.

Sure they’ll return and be balanced this time. Halo Infinite is going to be here for a decade so sure they’ll add stuff over time. The REQ system did need to go because it was pay to win but hopefully they find ways to bring old/new weapons without sacrificing proper balancing of game modes plus suspect they’ll end up in forge too. Though there are some weapons I won’t miss like the Plasma gravity pistol since that felt cheap to use.
