343i, it’s been YEARS and this slow drip of information is starting to turn people off. You didn’t do what you said you would do by providing an open BETA to the community well before launch, and we have no idea what the game is going to be like. I’m not investing money on this game or the new Xbox this year with no information. If your track record wasn’t as spotty, maybe it would be different but it’s not. You’ve made improvements and steps in the right direction, but give us something to instill a little more confidence in you PLEASE. You had better knock my boots off with this reveal in 2 MONTHS or this little gamble of teasing and stringing us along isn’t going to pay off.
its tied so much into next gen so microsoft probably has something to do with the secrecy of it
they said last year they were gonna go dark till when e3 was gonna be since e3 was cancelled and the replacement is in july so in a way 343i is sticking to their guns calm the hell down wait is almost over

No one seemed to have an issue with previous Halo games that also showed gameplay less than a year from launch.
Yeah I understand your frustration, but I think we can give 343 the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are holding the cards to their chest. From what we know so far Infinite is going to be a departure in many aspects from h5 and a return to form. So hopefully they blow us away in July with a big info/gameplay dump. If they don’t, then I will share your sentiments.
I don’t know why you’re using we in your post, because you don’t speak
for all fans and definitely not for me, so simply just speak for yourself please.
Furthermore, as was already pointed out, the pandemic all around the globe
forces everyone to take a step back from their daily routine and companies
had to adjust … well everything to the changes the pandemic cost.
So, under these circumstances, you are not obligend to anything currently,
just be patient like the most of us and let’s keep the pitchforks back
until we saw real gameplay, m’kay?
Be patient friend, and trust in 343i. There are some good people on that team and I bet there are doing an amazing job even during this pandemic! I know this little to no info is treacherous but it makes me curious as too what they are working on and just waiting for that big reveal in July.
Just 34 days to go until July. Add a few days because I doubt the showcase will be on 1st of July sharp. They probably would do it a few days after the USA holidays.
40 days left or so.
343 has been working hard, and reveal schedules have been moved around because of a virus. It was supposed to be early June I think, but virus caused issues.
After the misleading marketing that started too EARLY for Halo 5, they probably want to wait a little longer til the game is solid and is in tweaking stage.
Just because of little information this close to a reveal you are already giving up? 343 is trying their best. A little patience goes a long way.
Your argument would be valid under the Sunk Cost Fallacy if there wasn’t a date set for when we would be getting actual concrete information. If 343 was telling us to just be patient without providing any additional reason to be patient, then eventually we would just have to accept our sunk costs and move on to something else (in this case sunk costs would be our time wasted). But with an actual concrete date given, the fallacy doesn’t hold.

Halo CE had cinematic demo that showed what gameplay will be like in 2000(more than a year before it came out).
Halo 2 Had a full gameplay reveal at e3 2003(more than a year before it came out).
Halo 3 had numerous Vidoc that show gameplay more than a year before it came out and a Beta that anyone who had Crackdown could play in February of 2007(7 months before it released).
Halo Reach showed off gameplay in a Vidoc in February 2010(7 months before before release this is the latest gameplay reveal of the mainline halos other than Infinite)
Halo 4 Showed off Gameplay in march of 2012( 8 months before it released).
Halo 5’s beta started December of 2014 (10 months before it came out).
Assuming Halo Infinite releases in December and the Beta come out right after the July event that will only be 5 months to make any changes to the game based on Player feed back before the game launches. That isn’t enough time Even more so given what is Going on Right Now..
IMO we should have had a Beta a few months ago or if we are to have the beta in July the Game should be delayed to early next year.
This is just speculation but I feel like they had plans to do it one way but then the XBSX came into play and Microsoft is including Infinite heavily in the marketing plans for the console. I hope they show a ton in July.

This.
yes, 13 months is a long time to go on little to no information, but we knew it would be this “E3” and not before. The Corona virus stay at home orders are just making waiting that much worse, there’s no work/school or other activity to keep our minds off of this content drought. But just a little longer. Our wait is almost over.
100% agree with you honestly is a joke. Bungie would have never treated information like this. Halo 2 had a full demo a full year before the game was out… that was back in 2003.
All I have to say is watch 343’s video “We are 343 Industries” and you can see the lies at 3:16.
I understand your frustration, but more tact would be useful here. Honey > vinegar. I agree with you that 343’s Halo titles have been lackluster to say the least, but that means we have to continue to tell them what we want for a future Halo game. Personally, I would like a no-sprint Halo influenced from CE, 2, & 3, so I continue to remind 343 (tactfully) that this is what I feel is best for Halo.

Those games also didn’t take half a decade to be shown.

insert literally all of Destiny’s marketing and then their willing to show before various expansion launches. Bungie during Halo did not overhaul the engine and re-write it. Outside of CE, they were not a launch title. All of which explain why nothing has been shown in the past 7 years

If they needed to delay full release until early next year to make a good game, I’d be completely fine with that. But they really do need to either make the demo come sooner so flights can start, or they are gonnna need a dang good game released in 5 months after a beta
Edit: I should also add that even a little testing before launch would be better than none. They can make the small tweaks after release, but that still shouldn’t give developers room for “Oh we can fix it after release lets market it broken.” If they release a good game after the few flights, and only need to make minor tweaks to some things, I think that will still be good.
