Just thought I’d make a simple thread asking for a simple, yet straightforward improvement to Infinite. Weapons variants exist on Fragmentation loot caves and in Fiesta, so what I would is some sort of indication in the killfeed that the person killed you with a variant, this way its drastically less confusing. Lots of times I or somebody else gets killed by a variant, and its confusing, people lunging across the map with a Dueling Energy Sword, people melting you in a split second with the Arcane Sentinel Beam, etc.
It only has to be a simple asterisk beside the weapon to indicate it was atypical.
And along the same lines… just a bit more info about who killed you and why. At the moment we only know the killer, the weapon, and if it was assisted. Just an itsy bitsy bit more info could save a lot of angst; did anyone else chip in and how.
Everyone is on a heightened anxiety about desync. So a bit more info about how you actually died will help us direct our angst in the right direction (desync vs our bad map positioning vs team-mates not calling out).
Give variants a simple Mythic-level killfeed. They’re rare enough that getting a kill with it should be something to look out for. Like Ninja’d, Quigley, etc.
Like the Arcane Sentinel Beam. Have it say “Vaporized!” in that funny yellow text, as an example. Would add some flair to the feed.
