Killionaire strategy for all new Infection maps

Hello everyone, Eagle Precursor here. In this post, I will share with you guys the best strategies I have found for getting killionaires on all the new infection refresh maps. I have also made a video on this topic if you would like to see the killionaires in action, which is here.
Maps
Backwoods - In the updated version of backwoods, the cave camping spot has been nerfed drastically so on this map I would recommend going to the bog area when last man. The cove also works well but the zombies can easily stack in the house so be careful.

Black Friday - The update for this map has removed all 3 rocket camping spots, as well as made most of the map a little more open. The double hallways at the bottom of the map where the humans spawn is where I would recommend the last survivor to camp, however now they have added a ramp that leads to this spot so you will need to be watching from all 3 ways.

Boarding Pass - This map is quite difficult to get a killionaire on, it will take multiple tries and might get frustrating (it did for me). The best place I found was the room that connects to the bathroom (with the saw) via a ramp. From this room, you can overlook the top of the two trams, and all the corridors leading to this area from the sides are uphill ramps for the zombies. Another place to try is the balcony area in the room where pistol spawns, however this area is a bit harder to control.

Doubloon - This map has a great power position by the lookout. This area has two cannons and a circular floor and is at the other side of the map from where the humans spawn. From this position, you have long sightlines with the pistol and lots of room to manoeuvre when the zombies get up close.

Drillsite - The refreshed version of Drillsite is mostly unchanged in terms of gameplay. This map is one of the easiest to get a killionaire on, all you need to do is go to the bottom mid area with a precision weapon and look across the bridge, whilst occasionally checking behind you to watch out for any zombie that could be creeping up to you.

Freakshow – This map is another difficult one to get a killionaire on. I originally thought that a good spot would be on top of the carousel, but there are a lot of ways for the zombies to climb up there and you will likely die quickly. The best areas that I found were the stage at the top of the middle building, and the ramp that leads to the Back-rail area.

Ghoul town – For this map I would recommend that you grab the tactical magnum underneath the ramp in the middle of the map and camp in the docking area. You should look to make use of the docking stairs to evade big swarms of zombies. This one is moderately hard to get a killionaire on just because the docking area is quite small, however I think it is the best power position on the map.

Hellfire – This map in quite broken in its current state, and this is because both the DMR and gunfighter magnum respawn. To get a killionaire, the best place to be is in the oven, as the zombies can only come from 2 ways, one of which has a very long sightline and the other being difficult for multiple zombies to come from at once.
Lunar – For this map I found the best area for a killionaire to be within the cargo that overlooks the swinging platform in the middle of the map. With the CE pistol, you have a long sightline when looking towards that platform and within the cargo there is an area to fall back to with the shotgun when a lot of zombies are up close.

Malignant – This map has not gone through many changes as it was already a good infection map to begin with. This means that the market is still where I would recommend a player camp as last man for the killionaire, as you have two long corridors that you can look down with the DMR, and lots of room to move when the zombies get up close.
Nerve centre – The changes to this map are mostly aesthetic but the cinema spot has been buffed effectively blocking zombies from using the main ramp to come up to you*. Because of this I would recommend the cinema as the killionaire spot for this map, as with precision weapons you have long sightlines and it is easy to retreat down the lift to the Eastgate area (next to garbage truck) which has an explosive to help you and very long sightlines.
* (they can still climb through a little hole in the wall, but from games I was in this didn’t happen very often).

Power installation 484 – For this map, I think that the best spot for a killionaire is in the terminal area, or at the top of the ramp that leads down to the bottom middle tunnel of the map. Be aware that zombies can open the door to get you, but provided they don’t you have good sightlines with the CE pistol and a lot of space to move.

R.I.P.tide – Blue room is by far the best area for a killionaire on this map, as the hallway provides a huge sightline for precision weapons, and there is a ton of space to move throughout the room when lots of zombies are rushing. As well as this, there is no place in blue room where the zombies can come behind you, as both the entrances/exits face the same way.

Station Zulu – Unfortunately on this map the pistols have been removed but the saw/shotgun combination is still good when last man standing. The best area for a killionaire on this map is the depot, and I would recommend you open the big door to get a long sightline across the map. From this position, there are only two ways zombies can come from as well as the long corridor leading back to Oscars house which can be used to move back when a lot of zombies are rushing you.
Storms End – This map is quite difficult like boarding pass and will take a few tries. The best area I found was the basement, as it only has a few entrances (1 at the front, 1 at the back and 1 to the side) but there is not a lot of space to move so you will need to slay the zombies quickly!

Studio 17 – For this map the best spot I found was the outside area near the staircase, as this position provides 1 long and 1 medium range sightline for the CE magnum as well as the staircase to move back when lots of zombies are rushing. Additionally, at the top of the staircase there is an explosive barrel to help.

The Crypt – Finally for this map, because the old power position that made the map hard to play has been fixed, I would recommend that you camp on the light rifle runway but at the opposite side from the light rifle. In this position, you have a large open sightline that is easy to control with precision weapons, and a decent amount of space to move when being rushed.
Hope this guide helps you, and happy killionaire hunting!

Is Infection your favorite gamemode?

Noice

Great stuff. I’m not really an Infection player, but then I’ve never had anyone give good advice like this. So I may have to play a few matches now.

Your video…wow! You have seriously good skills my friend. Good work. You left out step #1 in your instructions though, and I fail at step #1.

Step #1: Try not to suck at infection.

Great video, I enjoyed that! That’s how it always goes in my head, unfortunately I never pull it off like that. Get to a triple kill or something then miss a shot and get killed lol.

Bump

I’d also like to share a few tips myself:

  • Unless you know what you’re doing, NEVER DROP YOUR SHOTGUN. The Spartan equivalent of the boomstick is a powerful weapon that is a life-saver in tight situations. Everyone will spawn with it, and its (mostly) reliable one-shot kill can shut down a zombie, even slightly outside the red reticule range. As long as the majority of the Shotgun pellets hit the zombie, they will die.

  • Keep ammo in circulation. With the undead running amok, it is important to make every shot count. Whether it be Shotgun ammo, AR ammo, or even Magnum ammo, gather as much ammo (from dead survivors) as you can to ensure you have more than enough lead to dish out towards the horde. You don’t even know how terrifying it is when you have no method of defending yourself at a distance, while the undead are swarming everywhere.

  • Don’t skip out on your melee, Spartan Charge, and Ground Pound. While not recommended in most circumstances, getting physical can mean the difference of surviving another day, and becoming an unfortunate flesh-eater. All can kill a zombie with a single hit, can help save precious ammo, but have varying degrees of effectiveness.

The standard melee is great in a pinch. Should a zombie miss their attack, put them down with a melee before they get you. If you wanna get really sinister, you can sneak up on other zombies and assassinate them (I love getting the Stalker medal), or surprise them with a melee as they come around a corner. As a bonus, the hitbox of the melee attack will actually remain active for a very short moment, therefore you can attack a tad bit early, but still earn the kill.

The Ground Pound, while slow and noisy, has the potential to wipe out an entire group of zombies with a well-placed slam. As the zombies do not have shielding, even a near miss can prove to be extremely devastating.

Spartan Charge is strongly discouraged. The Infected Sword has superior overall range and damage, so don’t expect to win at all. Use the Spartan Charge in conjunction with your Thruster Boost, Sprint, and Slide to quickly evade the horde.

  • Any spot can become a powerful holdout. Zombies are everywhere. Everyone else is dead. You’re the last man. You don’t have time to find a spot or pick up a power weapon - just hunker down and try to stay alive as long as you can. Even the most mundane corner can spell out a Killionaire if used properly.

I agree except for 4, if you know you have a clear path to a power position you should run for it

I learned my tips through personal experience, therefore you are free to refute my opinions.

I like every mode in Halo, it’s hard to pick a favorite. Infection definitely holds a special place in my heart though!

Great tips Eagle! The video was great and informative. I will make sure to keep in mind these locations.

For freakshow, you can also get an easy killionaire using the hydra if you camp below the yellow bus (there’s a hole there for some reason, and that hole is the only way to enter)

Also, you can use the void’s tear on black friday to easily group up the infected or stall them, making it slightly easier to get the killionaire (Good luck getting kills with it though. All it’s good for is stalling the infected and slowing them down.)

As for the other maps:

Malignant is a joke in terms of a refresh, and i’d even go on to say that it’s completely dodgeable now. All they did was make the CE magnum harder to get, whilst keeping all the exploits around/unpatched. Really great job with this one, forge community. /s (In all seriousness, it sounded like a good idea on paper, but ended up backfiring more than benefiting the playlist.)
All you have to do for this one is to use one of the “exploit” spots to get a killionaire. Cheap and intentionally causing misconduct, yes, but these are the same exploits that were in the map before the refresh. Can you at least actually, I don’t know… TRY TO FIX THEM? I don’t promote cheating, but at the same time, if you’re really desperate for a killionaire, I’ll look in the direction of the map creator for this one. The blame isn’t on you for using something that wasn’t fixed.
Zulu has it’s problems as well. If anything, the lack of weapons makes it easier to “Last man” boost (Intentionally letting a friend get last man for the point bonus, then you finish them off, gaining the 25 points in the process as well.)
If you’re going to remove the pistols, at least replace them with something useful, like an SMG or chaingun turret with low ammo. Hell, even the Tac magnum would do just fine. (Anyways, enough ranting, use the same strats as the ones in freakshow that I mentioned earlier… use hydra in a corner. The one near the sniper spawn works best… then just spray and pray. The one near the van works as well, although if two people charge at you at once using both paths, you are screwed.)

Really appreciate the time and effort into making the video Eagle, thanks!

I found this but I didn’t want to showcase it just because it’s worse than Black Friday’s old rocket naire spot

I have not played alll of the maps and I am a sucky precision weapon player, but with this advice I could probably beat a lot of players who did not read this post and get some wins. THANKS!!!

Exactly why the map is dodgeable.

That, Malignant, and soon to be hellfire with that prophet’s bane are now pretty much dodgeable with the lack of testing and exploit fixes.
(Hell fire should just be removed though, CE magnum, DMR and gunfighter magnum, alongside with the bane… Too much firepower.)
