In the new series & have The Arbiter (Thel’ Vadam) become the main character…Does this sound like a good idea?
I don’t really care about Chief but Don’t. kill. Cortana.
Plus for some reason, games with the Chief are always more popular.
No.
i like them both. I think they should have balanced roles because the audience doesn’t always prefer the same thing. But I’m not the writer so i cause its IMO…
Why would this be a good idea? Thel Vadam went back to his homeworld, I don’t think there’s a story there.

Glasslands? The novel that recently came out has the Arbiter trying to prevent civil war between the elites.
Thel, though an iconic and interesting character, should perhaps only be mentioned in lore and books from now on. He has his own thing going on now, and Chief and Cortana have their own thing.
As far as killing off Chief and Cortana, is that not what the ending of Halo 6 is for? Then again, I believe that was originally Halo 3’s ending’s purpose.
Were it so easy…

Nice job on just giving the book away!
Unless you’re being ironic, it pretty much says so on the back cover.

…this isn’t a giveaway. This is what the book is “about”. You’re making it like if he said the book also continues the story of Onyx…OH NO!!! SPOILER!!!
smh
OT: By the end of the trilogy, yes, have Chief become a legend instead of a bogus immortal. He’s not a God so he’s got to die. Epic sacrifice is what I presume. Cortana is on her way out anyway due to rampancy. I’m sure they’ll extend her life somehow but eventually, I’d like an “Ending”. No cliffhangers.
As for The Arbiter. Nope. His story was done in Halo 3 and culminated to Glasslands. He should not be involved further especially since he’s an advocate for peace now.
Killing off Master Chief is like asking to kill off Mario. You do it and you kill the series, and that means all sales and profits. Microsoft will never allow it.

Not true at all. If that were so, Bungie would have NEVER let go of the property. Mario is a cartoon piece of fiction. Master Chief, while fictional is VERY vulnerable, mortal and all too importantly - Just one lucky human. He’s going to eventually die in his universe whether they reveal it or not. It’s much more likely to happen than Mario b/c Mario never ages much like any standard cartoon. Mortality is very rarely shown in these types of mediums. Bowser gets tossed into pits of molten lava and comes back time and again.
This doesn’t happen in Halo and look at Noble Team. Picked off one by one in front of your eyes. Also, LOOK AT NOBLE TEAM. Haters want to hate but Bungie (and Ensemble with Halo Wars’ Sgt. Forge) proved you can make a decent at best Halo game without Master Chief.
He’d be more iconic if he died IMO.
No No No No No No No NooOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooOOOOOOO.

I prefer mastercheif but it was fun as hell in halo 2 playing as the ARBY
No I enjoy playing as Master Chief an look forward to 343’s increased involvement in his personality and story. I want Cortana to stay because she’s the only female so far in the Game that has actually been badass. Lol
Now I wouldn’t mind a small game to come out like ODST to see how the elites and other alien species are doing post war. But I’m sure will see the Arbitar in the new trilogy some where. He’ll probably help fight who ever the new enemy is.
John is alive for a reason, it’s not luck that’s keeping him alive.
It’s geas.
He has a reason for something.
I would say at the end of Halo 6, so we finally have gotten to the end of Chief’s story. Maybe a boss battle killing Cortana because she becomes rampant.

Bungie had no choice of the matter about Halo. They sold the rights to Microsoft when they sold themselves. You honestly don’t think that they wanted to keep Halo? Any studio would give an arm and a leg to get to work with Halo because of how its guaranteed to sell millions upon release
I think Master Chief and Cortana should go like Dr. David Bowman and HAL9000 from 2001 Space Odyssey.

That’s not how a geas works.

Please don’t revive very old threads.
