Killing eachother at the same time?

Was never an issue in past games, why does it happen so often, assuming u wud have to pull the trigger at the exact same time as well as other things, why does it happen more often that chance suggests?

I think there’s a slight window either side to account for host advantage. I think it’s been like that since Reach. I honestly don’t mind it.

Lolwut? Mutual kills were rampant in Halo 3, and in Halo: Reach.

It happened all the time in Halo 3 and Reach. They set up this game mechanic to promote fairness vs lag. In each person’s screen they killed the other person first, so instead of the person with the best connection living, both players are rewarded for the kill. It’s only fair.

Swat is the best example of this, and you could definitely see it in halo 3 and reach. Happens several times each game as well.

It happened a lot in Halo: Reach too.

Remember Halo: Reach Infection?
You: “Haha! Take that shotgun to the face, zombie!”
Zombie: *dies but still manages to get the lunge kill
You: -_-

Still happens in Halo 4’s Flood mode, SWAT, and other gametypes, though much less common.

this only started happening to me in reach

every other melee ends in mutual death for me

I would rather have mutual kills than that garbage CoD does which always favors the better connection. Yet another reason I prefer Halo to other games.

been a problem since the ar joust fests in Halo 3

It seems a lot more prevalent in Halo 4. Not sure if it’s the way lag compensation works or what, but I’m positive I didn’t use to get awarded melee kills from the grave (!?) back in Reach.
