Unbeknownst to me you can kill wraith borders. Didn’t know this was added. I did it twice today with ultra wraiths.
in 3 reach and 4 you could, usually causing a ton of damage to your wraith. in h5 its nearly impossible

It was in the patch notes. You get the ‘busted’ medal, but it works for the ‘not so fast’ Spartan company kill commendation. You can also blow borders of a scorpion with a nearby wall.
Hm… Only after the last update? I’ve done it few times before…

The best way to dispatch hijackers is shooting them with a high-powered turret / 1-hit kill weapon once you gain a clear shot.
Acting as an escort (on foot or on a vehicle) to the Wraith is a great way to get those pesky hijackers.

Assuming you can get that kind of teamwork from a team of randoms…the number of times I’ve stopped been borded, only for my teammates to either completely ignore it or worse, just sit there, wait till I die, THEN kill the person so they dont have to worry about me stealing kills with the tank gets kind of frustrating.
If there isn’t anyone to help, blast away at the closest object

I like it when people do that to. I got an overkill the other day by hijacking a scorpion killing the driver, the gunner, and the two kids riding on top of it to prevent borders. I died in the process, but it was still sweet.
This is why I try and hug near walls when usin a Wratih or Scorpion, if hiding amongst a ton of team mates isn’t an option.
Now if only they can make the Mantis stomp powerful again…
this seems to be nothing new at all. Sure the vehicle takes damage too but you could always have killed the boarder by blasting the wall if you were fast enough, nothing new there. Just get a slightly damaged vehicle and survive more than once, its been a known technique for years. Now the boarders at the back of a vehicle are a bit more tricky, at least with the wraith. And i thought this topic was about boarders who board behind the wraith.

I used to do this all the time in Reach. You could actually shoot the ground right in front of you when your wraith got boarded and kill the boarder. I was bummed that they took it away but I admit it was a bit OP. If it’s back, I’m glad to hear it.

I have only been successful shooting the wall like in the clip.

It’s news because it didn’t work in Halo 5 until recently.
Imagine how overpowered the Hannibal scorpion is now. You can already move faster than enemies on foot so you won’t get boarded so easily, just think about it when you do get boarded.
