Why? They’re so much fun to use!
To each their own, I guess 
I personally just use UNSC weapons more because they are usually better weapons in general (DMR, BR?) and it helps War Games actually make sense. Sure, you can use alien tech in War Games training, but I doubt that much of the SPARTAN-IV’s will be deployed in missions with that kind of weaponry.

I find when I used the carbine like I was using the DMR I started to get a heck of a lot more assists.

Same here, it seems to me that they are weak. All i can depend on is my DMR and now I’m beginning to like the AR. BR on the other hand, I was never fond of it, b/c i lose my line of sight with it. For the record, i usually don’t like to give away my Loadout, b/c it will give away my strategy.

And the Covenant/Forerunner weapons take the most skill.

I’ve got skill with both, but its like there weak, if you know what I mean. I think i feel much more comfortable with a weapon that is meant for "humans"

ummmm…you do know that you enjoy the Gravity Hammer and i love the Energy Sword. But with Loadouts, i agree with you. The Carbine and Storm Rifle were weak when i used them. Too bad 343 didn’t bring back the Plasma Rifle. I would’ve taken that in one of my Loadouts.

Having Magnum as your most used weapon is rad as hell.
My current loadout for every map except Ragnarok is:
Covenant Carbine
Assault Rifle
Frag Grenades
Autosentry
Firepower
Dexterity
If I’m playing on Ragnarok I switch my Carbine with a Light Rifle.

LOL. This must be a joke.
DMR only for me. Secondary doesn’t matter to me cause I rarely use it, but mine is the bolt. Jetpack, explosives, frags.
