Played a game of Warzone, and first time ever ended up behind the warden to assassinate him, but I don’t get what went wrong!

That’s totes lame. I don’t know how but you got kicked out of the animation. There’s a glitch that’s been floating around with Spartan assassinations but it might affect AI as well.
It’s random.
The boss kill rewarding system is broken. I remember once on Apex 7, I was fighting an enemy spartan from red base lookout and got awarded the kill for Captain Hestro, which was really unfair to the players who actually took him down.
Happens all the time. Boss kill credit is a lie.
