So I’ve had the feeling for the last couple of matches that there was something not quite right about a decent number of the deaths I’ve suffered. Especially when I actually watch the kill cam and it looked like my enemy’s crosshair wasn’t actually centered on me. At first I tried to shrug it off because the action was kind of frantic and the crosshair did maybe look like it was almost on target.
But then this happened.
I was already 90ish percent sure that I was well behind cover when I got killed, and when I saw the kill cam, I could’ve sworn that his crosshair was nowhere close to on top of me when he gunned me down. So I recorded the clip to watch it back, and even downloaded it to my computer to freeze frame through it. Sure enough, when his hit markers pop up. I am well outside of his crosshairs. I even took a screenshot of the final kill shot to confirm just how ridiculously far away I was when I got killed.
Now, I don’t know if this is a bug with the kill cam somehow, or it’s some weird bullet-magnet bug, but clearly there is some kind of bug voodoo going on with this. So, to my fellow players, if you get the feeling like your enemy killed you even though his crosshair wasn’t actually on you, chances are that it’s not just in your head. This clip and this screenshot clearly show that you can be killed by an enemy who doesn’t actually have their crosshair on your Spartan.
343, I really do love what you’ve done with Halo 5 so far, at least overall, but you definitely need to squash this bug before the final game’s release.
