Killcams are needed to come back

This is for the sake of hackers. There are so many, sometimes its just too much of a hassle to go through theater mode to find that one moment in a 20 minute game to find a hacker or if they just sweated on us.

Give us the option to see a killcam, so we can see them flick their screen around and spot hackers much more conveniently. Its not about being lazy. Its about making sure hackers can be better spotted.

Glad you said option. But in certain modes (ranked) you cannot have kill cams, It will bust the balance done in those modes for Competitiveness.

Definitely not on ranked. it has to be disabled like the radar. But on quick player/BTB, probably necessary to be there since Infinite is now mainly a PC game.

I like the idea of being able to turn it on/off in the settings, as Halo 4 got ALOT of backlash against kill cams (makes it feel like COD/BF). Hacking will unfortunately be an large issue until 343s AI learns more, or they just scrap that stupid idea and adopt/create a Kernel based Anti Cheat for PC.

No it wouldn’t. In fact it was liked by a lot of pros because it gave away far less information (like surroundings/location)

Killcams would’ve stuck if Halo 4 wasn’t just a CoD clone, Killcams were one of the very few things that was actually good about Halo 4. Can’t tell you how many times I die in Infinite and have no idea what killed me.

No thanks. Kill cams were not good in Halo 4 and don’t belong in Infinite. Not sure where you got that top pros preferred killcams, but the community hated them

THis isn’t for the sake of being good. its the sake of spotting a kill that most likely could not have happened. And definitely not for your personal opinion.

yes they’re perceived poorly because Halo 4 was just a cheap CoD knockoff, that is my point. Do you believe the main criticism of Sprint is because it was in CoD or because of how it hurts the gameplay? Even though its obvious sprint was added because of CoD, the fact remains that sprint was disliked in spite of CoD not because of it.

Anyways its not important enough for me to care about, Infinite has hundreds of other improvements I’d rather see. Killcams weren’t meant for good players, they were meant for trashcans than go negative 20 a game.

No, it was never a feature requested in previous Halo games, this shouldn’t be brought up now. How often are you getting killed where you don’t spot the enemy? I can tell you that almost never happens, and if it does, it’s because I’m mindlessly wandering around in the open

Nah it was perceived poorly for 2 reasons.
1: doesn’t belong in Halo or arena shooters in general
2: They were buggy as hell

Sprint was also not liked because again, it doesn’t belong in Halo. Halo 5 kind of made it better by not allowing you to regen shields until you stopped, but all the maps were designed around sprinting. Infinite solved this by making implementing sprint not as a means of travelling faster, but as a tool for advanced movement such as slide.

Hard no from me.

We have theater mode, anyway.

yeah you just proved my point continue

They could always just release one that actually works?

I appreciate the effort though.

Did you know that Bungie originally planned to have it in Halo 2?

Regardless, sprint had game design issues which were far more meaningful than whether or not it was in CoD.

Yeah ngl I do not remember a SINGLE person commenting on how they liked the Killcam, in fact I remember most people hating them, including the higher tier players and semi pros I regularly played with. It was not a liked feature, and if it was added into Infinite, it needs to be optional. I appreciate the OPs reasoning, and really it is a good one, but one kill will never be enough to get someone banned. Give Support an entire VOD, thatll do it. Theater is simply better for this sort of thing.

Nah. It had nothing to do with your point about COD. no where did I mention that but ok…

Did you know that Bungie had the sense of not fully implementing it as well.

People didn’t really like them without any reason besides reminding them of Call of Duty. Which is a stupid reason since its pretty helpful. Disliking a function because its in another game you dislike.

theater from their perspective.

They also showed you directly where you died from, with what weapon. Which is all information that can be pertained from your death pov and the kill feed. Was a redundant feature, and was unnecessary. If you want to see something from the enemy POV go to Theater.

Killcams are kinda pointless for finding hackers. They often don’t line up with what actually happened. I’ve seen a lot of games that suffer from de-sync display your POV when that is in fact not occurring server side. Also, it’s pretty easy to notice when someone’s hacking unless they’re trying to be ultra low key about it. If there’s any doubt in your mind that they were hacking they probably weren’t.

Not to mention the death camera is just such a more valuable tool to call out enemy positions to teammates. Much more so than raging at a killcam anyway.

The game already shows you where the enemy is clearly. It zooms in and enemy highlights over walls while the kill feed shows the weapon. If anything, that already tells us where the enemy is right after, a much better info already in the game and in ranked.

Kill cams only show what happened seconds before your death. While can also point out probably hackers, as I stated.

Yeah, the no killcams in ranked argument doesn’t make sense to me. The current death cam gives you far more info than a killcam does, any enemy near your body you can call out to your teammates. All killcam would allow you to do is tell teammates where the enemy was, which isn’t very useful as they may move quickly to somewhere else.
