Killcams and game winning kills

Hi, now I understand there are some issues with the killcams in H4 I’m sure if you’ve actually witnessed these killcams your quite aware of them as they are not subtle inconsistency’s but rather huge obvious flaws.

Now I think that one thing 343 was traveling in the right direction with the killcams, they are quite useful as something interesting to look at between spawns if there is a set spawn time (rather than insta-spawn rubbish) also you may learn a trick or two from them and it can be helpful to see how you died for new players etc

Now the issues being the complete lack of consistency in the killcams rendering them completely useless as something interest to watch and learn from, basically every killcam you watch will be little of the reality of what actually happened to you this is a dissapionting because I’m sure they would be great if they worked as they were meant too

Game winning killcam, for all those fortunate enough to have never suffered a game on CoD this is when I replay is shown to all players in the game of the last kill in the game, a nice idea and I swear 343 ran some kinda beta on it or something because for like a week or so there WERE game winning killcams at the end of games (although they were massively flawed) now I just thought when they removed them they would be tweaked, fixed and implemented Streight back into the game yet I see no sign nor hear any news on the subject so I post this thread in hope of answers
Thankyou

I want to know why Call of Duty Killcams are extremely good, while Halo’s are quite poor.

I don’t understand why that difference exists.

I want to know why we even have killcams. They dont help in any way imo, and i just wind up skipping them. If they were gone no one would rage about it on the forums.

Especially since they copied all other aspects from COD. Kill-cams aren’t Halo, never have been never should.

I’m moving this to the Matchmaking forums. The matchmaking forums will be housing discussions for Halo 4 matchmaking. This includes matters related to Matchmaking.

For more information why this thread is being moved, please read this for a further explanation. and as always, please feel free to ask questions if you have any.

Final kill cam should be the only one used in the game…

Final killcam i such a good idead but Halo killcams are soo bad :frowning:

The only purpose of Kill-Cams is to show me where the enemy is so I can shoot him as soon as I insta-respawn.

Kill cams are not helpful at all if you know how to play Halo.

I rather sit there and watch my dead body get T-bagged then to watch a killcam or insta-respawn…

The main purpose of the killcam is as a tool to discourage camping.

Now kill cams can be very useful in many ways than one. While most people skip them other people can learn a lot from what they see. Like the kill cams can show what Armor Ability, Weapon, Power Up and Grenade type they are using. Plus it shows the location the player might be at which can be very useful for communication purpose or just for you. So when you or a teammate comes across that player again they won’t have an edge over you.

Now for me what I found out from playing Halo 4, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Homefront, Breach, Sector 8, and ECT. Is that if the load out they are using isn’t working then they will change their battle strategy up to get a surprise on their enemy and kill them. But with the kill cam you can learn from what happen to you and change the outcome the next time you meet again. But in reality most people skip the kill cam and try to get revenge on the person that just killed you only to find yourself dying again and again and again to the point your just embarrassing yourself and making your team lose because you don’t want to learn from your past. But if you have an open mind, communicate, and stay claim you can come out on top.
