I didn’t get to to play the flight so curious about the amount of kill timers/invisible walls in the maps.
bazaar has some janky invisible walls that you find while grappling, but I haven’t found anywhere else on the other maps, I’m sure there is a ceiling on live fire
Of course there are kill zones. Jumping off maps or falling into pits will kill you
The maps had kill barriers and invisible walls, a streamer known as moistcritikal tried getting out of the map and he got permanently banned I think, either that or a couple of hours.
As the others have said, invisible walls and kill barriers definitely exist, although I don’t think we saw any soft kill zones, at least not yet.
invisible walls and kill barriers definitely exist because they need to be there to make the map function correctly
I think there was no timer.
There are soft kill zones. I have seen them on Behemoth (when you are to far up on the structure or on the ring around the map) and on Fragmentation if you get to high on the com towers
Why are the maps so vertical and give you a piece of equipment to exploit the verticality then punish you for going vertical?
Because this game is made for money so it being a philosophical correct game isn’t on the priority list
Unfortunately the cash cow has gone morally bankrupt lol
That’s a perfect way to describe a game that’s alive physically but dead spiritually
Because they don’t want you to camp up there where others can’t reach you unless they also got the grappleshot and know you where there (otherwise that grapple would already be gone and you will be safe).
The grapple is not meant so you can get up somewhere high just to AFK camp in there so you won’t have to fight (or can snipe from there without being killed).
But i do believe it could be nice if they have a couple maps in BTB with a little more verticality so you could use the grapple to quickly get up there, while others without the grapple will have to use a slight detour to get there. With Bazaar they have a 4v4 map within a city. You could image an BTB-map within a city with some 2 or 3 story buildings you can enter and rooftops you can use.
Ehh
Bungie rewarded you for doing it in H3. Taking a Gauss Hog above into the sand dune and outpacing the guardian land mines or camping a Scorpion right above the tall base on Sandtrap are prime examples. Then in Halo Reach they took it away. But the mechanic was also introduced into campaign except on levels where that would break the level (e.g. the Falcon airlift level and the Saber dogfights) as well taking a lot of exploration and fun from the first 3 games away.
It’s not ment for anything. It’s simply just a grapple that can be used in various situations. It’s ment to be a filler for “advanced movement”. There is no other real purpose it exsists out side of that.
