i keep getting kill stolen by some idiots!!! the kill steal me so much that i almost rage quitted.

Complaining about kill stealing in a team mode is hilarious.
there’s a fine line between reflexing off a quick headshot and watching your team mate strip a enemy to their bare bones of health to pop a cheeky kill shot.
does make me laugh when we play as a party and actively yoink each others assassinations.
That’s why you get “Assist” as a compensation.
There’s nothing wrong with a high assist count. If you and a team mate are fighting the same enemy, it stands to reason that one of you will get the kill and the other will get the assist.
So long as my opponets die, I don’t really care who puts them down.
The only time you’re allowed to complain about someone stealing your kill, is if it’s after you yell, “TRIPLE WHERE’S MY OVER???”
This really only happens to me in Rumble Pit or Regicide when I’m on maps like Haven and everyone is chaotically sprinting toward the middle of the map repeatedly.
I’ve got no problem with people snaking my kills or doing so myself. There’s no guarantee that your opponent wasn’t just about to whip out a power weapon and kill you.

Anyway, I don’t see a problem with having a kill “stolen” or “stealing” a kill. It’s a team game, after all … at least mostly. As long as the opponent drops dead and both of us survive, I don’t mind who gets the kill and who the assist.
And something else: If I got a Protector or Guardian Angel medal for “stealing your kill”, I didn’t steal anything - I saved your ungrateful little tushie from getting fragged.
If it’s a team game it’s called “team work”.
As far as I’m concerned whoever puts the last bullet into the enemy is the one who gets the kill.
As for Assassinations, eh…I don’t steal those from people purposely. If I’ve killed someone while you assassinate them I do it out of reflex.

I hadn’t thought of assassination theft. That’s something I can understand getting peeved over. I don’t steal assassinations, I get close enough for the guy being assassinated to see me and t-bag along side him just enjoying the show.
I remember one time playing with a buddy of mine on Reach. He’s pretty bad at FPS’s in general. I was assassinating a guy who had been giving our team a pretty hard time and my buddy arrives on the scene and pulls off a beautiful no-scope. The problem was he no-scoped me and not the guy I was assassinating. From my death cam I then had to watch as my would be victim (who was 1 shot) easily dispatched my thumbless buddy, took his sniper rifle and went on to win the game for his team.
That one annoyed me but if you don’t laugh, you cry.
As long as the enemy dies I dont see a problem. Unless they are just standing waiting to take the kill, making it so they don’t have to do any of the fighting

Yep,
I admit that it can be annoying. But I play BTB exclusively and enjoy the team aspect. I will gladly soften the enemy up using my DMR for someone else. Why not?
What bothers me more is when your supposedly team mate watches you battle a foe, not firing and hiding, because they want:
A) Assassination
B) easy kill against a cripple foe that just killed me
That is pathetic.

Hey man some people are just meant to get assists. Not their fault that you can’t get a headshot. What do you want them to do? Sip a cup of coffee while they watch you duke it out with someone with no shields?
i just hate it when they steal your assassinations, really pisses me off cuz that player is DEAD, why take the points from them, you don’t deserve the kill if they got the assassination
No one stole your kill. You assisted their kill. There is two sides to every story. I get assisted by players all the time. They grab them from behind and hold them while I shoot.
As for yoinks (killing an opponent who’s being assassinated), I don’t mind that as long as you don’t use the rocket launcher, fuel rod gun, grenades, etc. in playlists where friendly fire is enabled. I’ve gotten blown up a few times by some jerks who don’t mind betraying their team mates as long they can spoil your assassination. Really, that’s just stupid.
If I am the one who’s being assassinated, however, nuke the living daylights out of us both. =)
