Kill farmers on grifball and team objective.

What is kill farming on Griffball? Spawn camping is a viable strategy to help score.

Spawn Camping is a valid strategy for raising your Gravity Hammer and Multikill commendations.

Kill Farming while trying to get the objective=Good(Although I wouldn’t consider it farming).

Kill Farming just for the sake of K/D and Commendation boost=Bad but you’re going to have it when it’s promoted like that.

Possible fix for this could be to lower the kill value for each kill. Each kill would be worth half a kill, or something like that.

And if they decide to never score?

I see nothing wrong with spawn camping in Grifball, a well organized team can break out of it.

Kill farming (if I understand it correctly) is focusing on improving your k/d rather than scoring. In that sense it is not exactly the same as spawn camping. A team that has control of the ball can run the clock out and rack up kills on an inferior team. It is easier if your opponent is focused on winning at all costs (willing to die over and over trying). There is nothing that can be done to stop, re--Yoink!-, or de-incentive the behavior. I don’t see much to discuss other than the frustration one has when the other team is in complete control, won’t end the game quickly, and you are stuck having to be their target practice for the next 5 minutes…

edit… I take that back…

If you spawn in a safe area, where you have to exit (through dropping down from a ledge or through a shield door) the incentive is drastically lowered and the other team may just want to get the game over with.

I don’t agree with the killing of farmers.

How do you feel about slaughtering their pigs for sausage?

just curious…

Kill farming =/= allowing your teammates to score.

Kill farming = Playing to get a high k/d
Allowing your teammates to score = PTFO

People going solely for kills in Objective is fine for me. I go for wins over kills.
Besides they are going to have a hard time killing me anyhow. It’s not like they are invincible.
Killing is a huge part of any objective game anyhow. If you’re bothered by a bad K/D but you won the game then you’re probably in the wrong playlist. I’d rather go 12/25 and win than go 25/12 and lose.

failball (aka griffball) and the scum that gather in it to “spawn kill” for the sole reason of k/d stat padding make me laugh. They are the same sad players that can’t even maintain a 1.0 in core Halo playlists let alone CTF modes when they try to pad stats. We saw these same bad player try it in halo 3 and again with Reach. Me seeing threads about griffball players padding stats in that mode for Halo 4 doesn’t surprise me one bit.

It’s anything but skill. Use a BR in a slayer mode and then we’ll talk about skill.
