Kill cams What the uck is going on with them?

So I am sure that you like kill cams at the end of the game unless your on the opposite side of it. But when you are have you noticed the person that killed you wasn’t even looking at you when he was shooting??? what the hell is up with that. I am fine that i got killed But not when i see this crazy kill cam that the guy was looking at the wall before i was on the screen and it showed his cross-hair red already and then he wasn’t even shooting me. lol It just makes me frustrated sometimes. So 343 I am glad kill cams are back but what is up with them lol???

I have noticed the same thing with the kill cams. One time, it actually showed me getting killed completely through a wall.

If they can’t get em right they should just remove them completely.

I am not sure if its lag or just something with the game, but I would like to see it be addressed.

Agreed

The reason everything looks right in game is because everyone you see is projected in third person, and the host is communicating all the little details you don’t need to see. When you try to look at the game from a different client’s ;perspective, things don’t look perfect. It’s the reason Bungie didn’t put first-person view in theater for anyone but the person who saved the film. Killcams are a lot more accurate than they used to be though.

I used to think it was aim assist, but when a guy apparently shot in the opposite direction of where I was and managed to score a headshot I realized something else was going on.

I see this alot of the times and i get po

I tend to find that viewing kill cams just gets me even more irritated than the fact that I died to be honest… The ONLY time it’s useful is if you get sniped by someone hiding, in which case you have an idea of their position, but the vast majority of the time you know where they were when they killed you, you know what weapon they were using, so really it’s just a pointless addition in my view.

It makes it doubly annoying though, that the kill cams are wrong when they show you being killed though - the vast vast majority of times I just skip 'em though.

I find them unnecessary (not to mention wildly inaccurate) in the vast majority of cases. Even if you got killed by a sniper and wanted your revenge, by the time you’ve respawned, any half-decent sniper would be long gone from the position they killed you from.

sometimes for instance capture the flag i went to get the flag and got killed watched the kill cam and saw two guys squatting above the flag on complex. i knew where they were sitting picked up a sniper- 2 head shots so its helped me sometimes when its accurate.

There’s no point in camping anywhere now because the kill cam gives your position away. I think they’re kind of pointless and I usually just skip them anyway. In my opinion they should just be removed all together.

They should just remove them completely until they’re fixed.

It’s not actually the Killcams, it’s the game’s lag. Play LAN and you’ll see, the killcams work fine.

What you’re seeing is exactly what your game would show in theatre mode. Halo 4 is just a really laggy game, and doesn’t register an opponent’s movements very well.

That’s why every time a player seems to kill you “shooting twice really fast” the killcam shows it but with a delay between the two shots prior. And if an enemy teleports on your screen (which they likely didn’t on theirs), it will show the teleport. If someone shoots you when you are 100% sure you got around the corner, the killcam will show you around the corner when they make the “killing shot”.

The Killcam works fine, the game is just really laggy.

What you see on the killcam is due to lag. It shows the discrepancy between your connection and theirs. So when their cross-hair is two feet behind you. that is where you were on their screen. So yeah, it is pretty pointless to have kill cams which depict what they did in their screen on what you see on your screen.
