Personally I don’t like the fact that they’re adding a kill cam to Halo 4. Halo has never had one and it just makes it a little more like COD. Thoughts?
Stop comparing Halo to CoD.
They put Killcam on H4 so people could mainly learn how and why they got killed.
Think of it as a means to learning from your mistakes.
No, and you are late.
Also, you can skip it completely and not all the playlists will feature kill-cams.

Normally I would agree, but this is one time where even I would compare it to CoD. There aren’t that many games with killcams, and CoD is the first one that comes to mind.
Anyways, I’m not a big fan of the killcams. Maybe in the crazier playlists (like Rumble Pit), but in Infinity Slayer, more often than not, you know exactly how you died.
The real question here is “is it toggle-able?”
I feel like it’s usually pretty obvious how you got killed. If you get sniped, you know it. Plus the camera always goes to the person who just killed you in past games. I didn’t know it was only in certain modes, so that’s sweet

You aren’t forced to watch it so I don’t see why they would add this option.
Would be nice either way though.
I gain a lot more information from what we had before.
Why does it matter if it’s more like COD? Seriously, someone explain to me why this matters.
Anyway, I’m not too worried about killcam. Sure, I see why people hate it. It’s harder for people to aid their team once they’re dead since you can’t see what’s currently going down on the battlefield.
It reveals snipers’ positions…although that never really mattered since it’s easy to spot people in Halo and the rifle’s bullet hangs in the air.
I guess 343 has their reasons.

It’s not about being forced to watch it. I always found the lock-on cam in Reach a more viable option. I want to know if when we turn it off, it goes back to the way it was in Reach.
Assuming we can do that.

Exactly. What just happened is irrelevant information in a game like Halo where most battles last long enough for you to realize how you were killed.
I hate kill cams so much.
the kill-cams look like crap. I’ve watched kill cams and game winning kill-cams that are completely blocked by terrain and it doesn’t follow thrown projectiles or rockets. I’ve seen a Game winning kill cam where a guy throws a grenade turns a corner and gets halfway through a fight with an enemy player and then the points for the grenade kill comes up and the words “grenade kill” comes up…and that’s the kill cam. I’ve seen it glitch through surfaces and it doesn’t take spacing into account or different camera angles depending on where and how the kill happened. id mind it allot less if it were actually built good.
It’s in the game to stay so there really isn’t much of a point in complaining about it. Just deal with it.
I don’t feel like we need it but I also have nothing against it.

And you were likely looking at the NYCC and/or PAX build which was admittedly broken. Wouldn’t be too worried about them until the game actually comes out.
