Kikowani Station

I was just wondering if anyone else knew about this way I found to destroy the Scarab in the mission Kikowani Station in halo 3 ODST. If you didn’t know about this, try it out, it makes the mission a lot easier.

Here it is:

  1. Fly behind the scarab in your banshee after you have taken out its back legs, you need to take out the back legs otherwise this will not work.

  2. Jump out of your banshee, you should see the back hatch of the scarab open with a grunt manning a plasma turret.

  3. Jump into the back hatch, it should be low enough so that you can go in, kill the brutes and grunts you see then go up the ramp in the middle

  4. You should come out on the scarab’s “nose”, go around to another plasma turret on the right side, you should enter the second floor of the scarab.

  5. In the back, there is a glowing energy generator, toss a couple of grenades at it and it should turn dark and start to spark

  6. Quickly jump off the scarab and get cover, if you caused enough damage to the generator, the scarab will explode.

P.S. I find that plasmas work best for destroying the genarator

No offense, but have you played Halo 3? If so, you should have known multiple ways to take down a scarab. Plus, you could have just landed the banshee on the scarab. Or used the banshee bomb to remove the red dot on the back before using it again to hit the power core. Or you could have just skipped the scarab all together and just opened the door to get to the area that ends the level. Unless you are doing LASO or Kill-'Em-All, this works. This is universal knowledge. I, and I’m sure others appreciate that you are trying to give tips, though.

My friend and I were doing an easy difficulty speed “get-the-most-points-fastest” run so I found this tactic allowed me to kill the scarab faster and easier.

Gotha. Just checking.

You’re kinda right though, I’ve only played a couple levels of halo 3. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmmm… classic Halo 3 (or Halo 2 I believe) way to take down a scarab.
Old habits die hard
