I dont understand why the Sangheili would use kig-yar in this new “storm” faction. maybe im mistaken but the sangheili dont like the kig-yar and in glasslands Tel’cam is making comments about attacking them because they attacked piety and prevented him from getting a huragok. so back on topic, what have I missed that explains why sangheili would use kig-yar in a new faction?

Well the Jackals are pirates who basically scavenge for any work they can find, i’m pretty sure they are just canon fodder volunteers like they always were.
Well, there are many elites who still believe in the great journey, and the Kig-Yar are Mercs, so they will fight as long as your paying them somehow. Not much preference in their employers either, so ya
theres also the unggoy, and the mgalekgolo to consider.
overall the storm covenant is covenant who still believe in the great journey, despite the failure of the prophets. Jackals are only really there as mercenaries, grunts have little else to believe in, and hunters just want to fight and eat, so there ya go.
Elites like jackals better when they’re dinosaurs. Fact.
Well at least its not as outrageous as Brutes and Elites working together, Brutes and Elites HATE each other more than anything. I found it dumb that in glasslands the Elites alowed the Brutes to work for them. Read this: https://forums.halo.xbox.com/yaf_postst107385_If-Brutes-return-in-Halo-4.aspx

I think they’ll need all the help they can get.
Not only that Kig-yar do command ships but light ones and during the Great Schism its possible that alot of their ships were ither destroyed or commanded by Sangheilis. Also it’s to prevent their home planet from being glassed if they do not stick with the Covenant since the Sangheili has the technology and command power to do so. Plus many Covenant still believe the Prophets are alive so some stick to their ways on ither with Covenant Loyalists, Storm, or just being plain pirates. Still many Covenant still believe in the religion they all know from the Covenant they won’t let it go so easily until they open their eyes like Thel and Rtas did. It takes a long time for a powerful religion to get through their heads that it was all a lie and they are now free from the Prophets’ brainwashing. It could also be the money. During the Covenant time, Kig-yar were happy to trade with anyone and the Covenant were excellent customers and still are so the more trade Kig-yar get, more money and business they get. Probably why they are sticking around. In all Kig-yar blood they are pirates and traders.

That’s deep.
The Kig-yar go where the money goes. If some of them saw opportunity, I’m assuming some jumped on board.
These are dead serious Elites.
Remember when the Elites on Onyx reluctantly took Jackal shields? That’s how serious this situation is.
Hopefully Jackals actually behave like pirates or marine equivalents this time. In Reach, they were slow moving shields while marines were slow moving ammo. In the trilogy, both of them were convincing.
Hypothetically speaking, what if christianity was proven wrong? Do you realize how many people would go in neglection?

Why did I just read about silly dinosaurs and something-something …
