In midst of enjoying this new season of MCC, I have come to see that I have an issue with matchmaking in multiplayer. I usually play on PC at the moment in time, and have read about other people getting kicked out for no apparent reason. I usually game with a friend who plays on his Xbox One. When we matchmake we find a game with it saying, “Connecting Session” on screen though when our lobby gets full and places people on their respective teams it kicks us out an immediately puts us into matchmaking. I have no figured out why it does this. Does this occur for anyone else? It is also key to note that I am playing on the version from the Xbox app on PC, rather than the steam version. Would that dictate whether or not it gets this buggy?
Make sure that your game is fully up to date with the recent hotfix that was released, the latest build should be 1.2046.0.0.
Once you are fully up to date, restart your build/device and try again.
UPDATE: After my hour long ban, I returned to try again. I got to play 2 games before getting kicked again, and now must suffer with a 3 hour ban… simply ridiculous.
My husband and I have attempted to play MCC matchmaking together over the past couple of months. It never fails. Over half of the games we play, one of us gets kicked and banned. One of us is on Xbox one x and one is Xbox series X. I am currently on an hour long ban because I have been kicked so many times already today. Something needs to be done. I don’t see any pattern with server region or matchmaking type. We have both reset our games and Xbox. Nothing seems to help. This needs a fix ASAP. I do not quit out of games. I don’t understand how it can’t tell the difference.
I am playing on a gaming pc windows 10 and getting kicked as well … got so bad at one point I got a 16 hour ban for doing nothing. I wasn’t quitting out of games or betraying and a lot of the times it doesn’t even let me into the game before it kicks me …???
Anyone find updates in this? Continuously happens to me as well.
This is a recurring issue between my housemates and I, one of us is guaranteed to get kicked and subsequently banned every time we try to play.
It’s killing the game for us, when our hype for infinite is so high 
I’m having the same issue where I can play for a few minutes in game and then the game changes host and then I go to a loading screen and then I see a new game to load and I get a ban.
