Kicked out after every game...

How is it that I still get kicked out after a game ends after all these patches? I know this subject has been raised multiple times on these forums but I still feel inclined to express my disbelief at this subject.

I just played a couple of genuinely enjoyable objective games (compared to the usual rubbish the vote throws up) but after every game it is just back to the menu to search for another random group of people to play with. I might have actually enjoyed playing with and talking to some of the people in that room. I still have friends I see a couple times a year who we met playing Halo 2 online. That only happened because the game didn’t randomly throw us out after a match ended.

With all the ‘fixes’ that have been implemented why has this still not been addressed? Surely it is one of, if not the, biggest issue.

This is an intended feature. It was how Halo 2s matchmaking worked I think.

They didn’t have it this way at first, but it was causing way too many issues with keeping parties together, so they put in the current system (which has helped keep parties together for the most part).

This was also how the system worked in Halo 2.

In ranked matchmaking the system worked this way in Halo 2 sure. There was no point putting the same teams against each other again.

Now though? It doesn’t make any sense to go and search for a new BTB game all over again when this invariably takes longer than just playing another game with the same people. it is painful.

I believe it’s how it worked back in the days of H2.

Perhaps. I can’t really recall. I remember rooms going on for hours with the same players but maybe that was customs. Point is it shouldn’t happen now. If the MCC wants to compete with modern online shooters you can’t have people spending five minutes searching only for a game just to have to do it all over again when it ends. The last few Halo games did not do this online.
