Kicked by glitch or salty players?

I was just playing a CE BTB match on Sidewinder (one of my favorite maps) and I got randomly kicked from the game over 7 minutes in with a basic message along the lines of “You’ve been kicked out of the match.” 75% of the match I was driving warthog gunners around with a few magnum kills. Has this happened to you all or was someone salty over how I dodge shots with the warthog or something? Also, which team vote kicks? Your team or the enemy? If it was my own team I’d be shocked since we got so many gunner kills together lmao.

You probably ran some one over and it counted as a betrayal and they kicked you for it. Sadly there are players that will boot you if you betray them on accident. CE it’s especially easy to accidentally splatter anyone.

Ahh that makes a lot of sense, that happened a once or twice. Heavy amount of teammates at the enemy base lol.

Halo CE in the Master Chief Collection doesn’t actually give players the option to boot for betrayals. 3 betrayals means an automatic boot.

I was playing doubles last week and my teammate betrayed me 3 times. They were all clearly accidents and I would not have booted him if given the choice. But, he got booted after the third betrayal. He sent me messages apologizing for them.

Oh wow I didn’t know I -Yoinked!- so bad lmao. Thanks for the info, I think it ought to be a vote.

I actually did some testing, and I don’t think the booting is intentional. I think in Halo CE, after 3 betrayals, you get automatically kicked. I’m researching this now to confirm.

Halo: CE in MCC has an auto-boot system which gets triggered when you betray someone 3 times.

I’m sure this was carried over from the PC port since this version of CE uses the PC port.

I had guys taunt me to kill them both when I was playing the objective. I later got into a Scorpion and blew them both up as I felt they both deserved it.

You definitely can get auto booted in HCE… I “betrayed” an idle player, they weren’t intentional as I was throwing grenades at the enemy, he just happened to be near by. Which I wasn’t even mad when it auto booted me because since he wasn’t playing it was essentially 2v4, one player quit, he was idle…just feel bad for the one guy playing that was left. Hope he quit out and just let the other team have to kill the idle player.

Halo Ce as a auto boot system & one of the worst Vehicle physics known to man, if you’re driving a vehicle, always watch out for teammates :stuck_out_tongue:
