Kia Soul Ad... Resembles Halo.

I am referring to THIS ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zJWA3Vo6TU

There are many striking resemblances in this ad to the HALO universe.

From what we can gain from battle footage, there appears to be two warring factions. There are humanoid creatures in what looks like highly developed power armor (they look like spartans). They are warring against what looks to be a large, robotic army (of which members bear resemblance to Elites.)

The Elite type robots also have warships that have glassing ports and the ability to glass from low altitude (seen at 0:50)

My friend watched the ad for the first time and thought it was an ad for halo 4 until the hamsters showed up.

My question to 343:

Y U NO MAKE AD WITH KIA???

I cannot explain the epicness that would have ensued had the humans and robots been replaced with spartans and ellites. I mean seriously this could have been huge for getting HALO recognized.

And lets be honest. Dancing Elites and Spartans would have been awesome.

Resembles Halo? That’s impossible. It is Halo! Just look at that cruiser. It looks so similar to the Covie Cruiser… awesomeness!

I think it would be epic and maybe introduce more people to Halo

It looks identical to the Deliver Hope Trailer, just with different characters as to not get sued. It’s pretty obvious that’s what the creators of the commercial based it off of.

section 8 prejudice looks like halo as well but no one seems to care, but if they make a game like homefront people start complaining that it is a rip off of COD

I thought the same thing when I saw this. There’s a state farm commercial that has a Portal 2 character/monitor suit. It’s weird.

The ad looks more like something out of Marathon than Halo, but still, the resemblance is striking.

I actually thought this was a Halo commercial when I first saw it and was really excited. Shame how companies trick us into watching our commercials by incorporating our favorite things.

It should be illegal. Honestly in the Samsung commercial it was a complete ripoof of John’s Armor.

Well, that ad is well done, and doesn’t look like a ripoff, just takes some artistical licenses from Halo, and the music is somehow cool. lol

Of course it’s ripping from Halo. Halo is very popular, and many people can associate with it. This just goes to show the target-market Kia is trying to appeal to with the “Soul” model.

But what stopped the fighting? The car, or the music? Judging from the reactions of everyone, I’d say the music. The car didn’t do anything…
