I know I’m gonna get pegged for asking a whole lot of questions that to others might just be common sense but I’ve been reading more and more IN DEPTH into fall of reach and was Keyes falling for Halsey immediately when they first met in fall of reach. I know they did get together later but was that spark there in the beginning of fall of reach. I’m curious cause of the way it’s worded. Any thoughts? Also sorry for asking so many fall of reach questions

After the covenant removed the protogravemind and the remaining UNSC forces pushed the covenant out of the ship and the valley…

The Covenant removed most of the Flood including the Protogravemind after the Chief left the TaR.The humans later captured the TaR from the covenant and then destroyed it to prevent the Flood from spreading.
Well, I’d like to think Chief would’ve tried to grab Keyes’ tags when he punched a hole into Keyes face, but it didn’t happen. His tags were probably lost by the Flood. Miranda’s tags ata possible, and Halsey might have had them actually during the intro to Halo 5 near the picture she had of her. I don’t quite remember.
As for Keyes and Halsey, they went on the recruiting missions for the S-IIs and at first Keyes was confused on how to act around her because she was a civilian, but after more examination missions, they grew to have a close relationship until at some point after Miranda was born. The rest as far as I know is hazy.

Jacob keyes’s tags were never recovered
I don’t think Navy personnel even wear tags.
I believe the spark was there.
Halsey was a beautiful genius of a woman.
She was like nothing Jacob ever seen.
There had to be some appeal.
