So as you all know kelly and fred have been revealed in Fud and as predicted alot of people jump to the conclusion of thinking fred is n6. That would be the armors fault but looking at kellys armor aswell it looks similar to kats with a few modifications. So I got suspicious and I think that fred and kellys armor have been used before.

Good point; they were probably just trying to cut costs and save money haha but it is completely contrary to the lore that they set in place in the book series where they all used identical armor…
It is not like the show had unlimited funds…

A while ago they posted pictures of Fred and Kelly in their armor, so I can’t say I was completely shocked this week. I figured they were just re-using the live action Reach materials, which is sensible.
I thought they looked like Spartan III’s, lol
You can’t blame people for thinking that though, I mean they have the same helmets or very close to so you should expect people to think it. Some people have only played the games and not read the books (I haven’t read the books either) so people do put 2 and 2 together and hope they might get 4.
I’ll see if I can dig up the pictures somewhere, but there are off set shots of the actors and they are indeed the Deliver Hope costumes. I don’t mind it that much, even canonically, because it helps to differentiate between the three Spartans. It saved some money, and made it easier for the viewer. It gave the hardcore fans a good view of different armor, and the casual viewer an easy way to tell them apart.
I was actually going to make a thread about this, but you beat me to it. I’m kinda bummed that they didn’t at least try and make the armor a little less recyclable.
If anything, Fred should have had the Commando Helmet, as seen here in the Fall of Reach comic book. I know that there has to be a Commando Helmet floating around, because they had a full armor set for the Birth of a Spartan video: link and in the Deliver Hope trailer, if you pause at 58 seconds, you see Carter stabbing an Elite. Now that may have just been CGI, but I’d like to think it was a person.
Kelly’s armor in the last episode was just Kat’s armor with weird modifications. She should have had an EVA helmet, since every incarnation of her, whether in Halo Legends or comic book, she’s had the EVA helmet. Here’s the wiki page, scroll down to the pics and see for yourself. I just realized that the wiki page doesn’t show Kelly in the comics in her MJOLNIR armor, but she does wear the EVA armor
I know this is all minor stuff, but I like when everything looks the way it should. Like if they just had the right helmets, I would have been more ok with it.

I do believe that they would’ve had a person in each of the sets of armor since in one of the behind the scenes videos/pictures they show them putting the armor on the person who played Jorge.
There was just something about Kelly’s armor I didn’t like, it looked fine with the helmet on but when she took it off it made the chest look weird.
