WHO:
This event is meant to honor the Spartan-II super-soldier extraordinaire, Kelly-087 - also commonly referred to in Halo fiction and fandom as Blue-Two, or the Rabbit.
Kelly has been an important character in the Halo Extended Universe since the franchise’s inception; her fist appearance being in the prequel novel ‘The Fall of Reach’. She has since been featured in numerous tie-in novels, short films, and other canon materials.
WHAT:
Basically this blog will be featuring posts - anything from fanart and fanfictions, to graphics and edits, as well as quotes and opinion posts - that are exclusively about Kelly-087.
I will be creating content or the blog during the week, however, I will also be opening up for submissions from the community for the first time. So do you have something about Kelly you’d like to share? Submit here! Any content sent in from now until Kelly-087 Appreciation Week is over will be featured on the blog.
There also will be a surprise giveaway sometime during week…
WHY:
Because Kelly-087 is my favorite character in the entire Halo Universe. And in my travels around the web, I’ve come across lots of people that love her too. However, representation for her in the Halo fandom has always been a little lacking - so I’m hoping this will help to change that. Also my hope is that this will bring more fans of this character together, so we can all talk about Kelly more often in the future.
WHEN:
In honor of the first anniversary of this blog, Kelly-087 Appreciation Week will take place from May 7th to May 14th.
I’ll be spreading this around to let other Halo fans get in on the fun
