I bought the MCC and my wife and I played through it. She wants to play the beta but it’s not working. Every time we start the beta once we click “A” to get past the main screen, it asks us to join xbox live gold. I am already a member and if we click to buy it, it tells us that. Once “No Thanks” is clicked it just says there is an error with the servers. I hate making threads like this because everyone is complaining about it, but I haven’t seen anyone else have this problem.
She might have downloaded the beta through her account on my xbox which doesn’t have live. Would that matter?
I can’t specifically answer you but for comparison I DL the beta on my gold acc which my brother can play just fine from his gold acc on the same box.
I just uninstalled it and I am in the process of trying to reinstall it. Thank you for the comment.
I recently had to change billing accounts, and I got the same message. Since then I haven’t been able to load a single game (2 days). I might try the same thing. This is ridiculous.

Yeah. I have had this problem too. I have been subscribing to gold for a few years and just now this issue is popping up for me. It is probably due to the new update or something. It is frustrating because I cant seem to bypass the issue. I don’t want to delete then reinstall the game because I am not sure of the consequences of that such as deleting my game profile or wasting xbox memory. Does anyone here actually have a way to fix this or am I just gonna not be able to play strongholds 
P.S. the Halo MCC tells me that I need to get my privileges checked… I have no clue what that means.
Just bought Halo 5 and installed it. When I went to start the game I connected to Xbox Live. I was connected but when I tried to play the game it kept prompting me to purchase a renewal. Even though I was actively connected. Anyone know how to help?
